HE'S AWESOME!!!

CAN you imagine Bernie Sanders as president? Or Dennis Kucinich? Can you imagine a government and Congress that works for the people, instead of large multinational corporations? Can you imagine a fair distribution of wealth? Can you imagine health care as a human right? Can you imagine a military used to promote peace and justice instead of war? Can you imagine leadership that thinks of future generations when crafting policy? There's so much good we can imagine ....

But we don't live in that ideal democracy, so true gems like Bernie and Dennis will never be elected president in 2008. Someday in the future, I hope our country will be wise enough to elect people like them to the highest office in the land. To reach that goal, our most important job will be to encourage and promote a progressive society, one based on fairness, compassion, and hope.

For now, we'll have to settle for second-rate candidates in 2008.
