Will they really show a video of Hussein's execution?
I guess a news junkie like myself will have to stay away from TV. Not just the news, but all the promos during regular program: Hussein struggle while the noose tightens! News at Eleven!!

Ugh. I remember some years ago there were debates about televising American executions and many said that, while they supported the death penalty, they had no desire to watch it.

I have often thought that members of the jury that do send a person to death should witness it.

Ah, for the good old days, when King Faisal and Prime Minister Nuri al Said were killed in 1958 during a coup in Iraq and their heads were paraded in the streets and shown on their local TV. At least, in those days we did not have an Internet and satellites to show these in real time..

I have to stop. I am making myself sick.

1. Next question: Will Faux package it for the Feb. sweeps?
Hanging Saddam as Iraq teeters on the brink of all-out civil war
is a brain-dead thing to do, but some think that it will break
the Sunni insurgency (just like his capture and trial did).
Count on Shiite television stations to broadcast the tape.

I don't expect U.S. television to show Saddam dropping, but a few
seconds of him dangling on the rope after death is not out of the
question.

2. I think that it'll be aired in many countries.
In the US, tv stations won't air the actual substantive portion of the hanging; we're far too squeamish, and there'd be far too many protests by anti-capital-punishment people, anti-violence people, human rights folks, anti-Arab/anti-Muslim discrimination folk. For all I know the FCC has a rule against such tings.

A few stations may air portions showing the noose being fitted and him standing there, or him hanging there dead. More will show a still frame from before the hanging itself.

5. You have no idea how depraved Bushco
MSM and their supporters really are. Sick is a mild word for my viewson the kangargoo court, trial and now execution of a leader of a so called sovereign country that was illegally invaded. There is a great saying in these parts. Same knife stick goat, stick sheep.

7. They couldn't get the photos of the slaughtered sons to the public nearly fast enough,
in all their gruesome glory, to show the world just how bad you can get screwed when Bush decides to kill you.

They'll probably have a rope misfunction, and drop him time after time after time, with a lot of close-ups on his face. This would be appealing to mad dog right-wingers.

There are absolutely NO STANDARDS, and NO LIMITS to how fiendishly far these people will go to leave the message they will harm you wildly if they ever get a chance, if you fail to please them as they want to be pleased.

Who on this earth would have ever guessed they would have kept throwing the photos of his sons' dead, disfigured faces in front of our eyes over and over and over again? I know their quality now, I will never expect any pretension of dignity from them ever again.
