Re James Brown: Has anyone noticed that
Edited on Thu Dec-28-06 11:48 AM by malaise
MSM is referring to James Brown's white girlfriend as his wife! How dare his attorneys lock her out of the house. Well sadly they were not married. Were they even together since she was in California when he died! Sometimes you have to laugh at the way MSM skews facts to suit preferred interests.
Any bets he had not divorced the last wife?

1. I don't really care, and the MSM shouldn't either.
There's PLENTY of more important things they should be talking about other than James Brown's personal life. But I don't expect any different.

2. She should be locked out whatever color she is ~

Yes, I've noticed how concerned the MSM is about her welfare.

Interesting.

3. Interesting indeed
and yes whoever she is, she would have been locked out under the circumstances but their concern is rather vulgar in the middle of a public viewing.

5. I think MSNBC is being terribly disrespectful to Mr. Brown. More than
once they showed that jailhouse mugshot; don't think that was at all necessary today, when he's being mourned.

7. It's sickening
He sure contributed more to my life that Gerald Ford.
Say it Loud I'm Black and I'm proud was our anthem at a critical period in our teens.

Typical MSM, diss the heroes (musical or otherwise) while they invent beatitudes for dead presidents.

10. They should show George Bush's mug shots every time they talk about...
him. After all, he is an admitted felon.

6. I heard a variation of this on one of the news reports:
"Brown was married four times. He and his last wife, Tommie Raye Hynie (also cited as Tomi Rae Hynie), were married in 2001, but whether either marriage was legal is disputed. Tommie's prior 'husband' was a polygamist and thus her 3-day marriage to him should have never counted (i.e., since he cannot legally marry someone when he is already married). Based on this reasoning, the 2001 marriage is legal and she would be Mr Brown's wife. They had one child together, but according to Brown's attorney, the two never remarried."

A Brown backup singer, Hynie was already married in 2001 when she married Brown, thus making her marriage to Brown null, Dallas said. Hynie later annulled the previous marriage, but she and Brown never remarried, Dallas said.

The lawyer said Brown's estate was left in trust for his children and the lockout was "not intended ... to be an act of unkindness or an act of a lack of sympathy.

Ms. Hynie has a home a few blocks away from Mr. Brown's home where she resides periodically. ... She is not without housing or home."

8. She showed a certificate
where she and Brown were married. She says a lawyer has verified that it is legal. That was on MSNBC and CNN.
