What ever happened to that thing called "Net Neutrality?"
It seems like it just died, and no one talked about it anymore. Did it get anywhere? Did it not pass like we all hoped? Some help please, just thinking about it now and wondering where it disappeared to.

1. I saw a very slick misleading ad about two weeks ago...
that was promoting the cable industry's agenda (anti-Net Neutrality). They couched it claims that they were just trying to improve everyone's service and make it faster.

If I hadn't already been familiar with the issue, I wouldn't have been suspicious at all.

The issue has not died, it's being kept quiet.

2. the agreement contains specific language
that enables the cable companies to basically pick where they want to provide what service i.e. high speed only in richie neighborhoods and shit in poor areas.

3. The Cable/Telecomm Industry
has been all over the airwaves with their ad campaign. It basically calls Net Neutrality a bunch of "mumbo jumbo", but does absolutely nothing to explain why it's "mumbo jumbo", and of course, few people notice the "Paid for by the Telecommunications and Cable Consortium" tagline in small type at the bottom at the end of the ad. Ah, negative/smear advertising. Don't ya just LOVE corporate personhood?
