Interesting question, was there any group in Iran before our invasion that we might have armed or assisted in any way other than soldiers on the ground that would have ousted Sadam?

1. In Iran? Yes, Shiites in Iran might have helped overthrow Saddam, but the insurgents

are mainly Sunni and supported Saddam.

We armed the mujahideen to oust the Soviets from Afghanistan, too. How did that turn out?
