I did not watch the entire SOTU -- first one I've never watched as an adult -- but I did see the first 20 minutes as I was killing time before a social event. I did note that it took him all of two minutes to invoke 911 and that he was hiding behind "support the troops" rhetoric to make anti-war arguments seem unpatriotic.

But the real kicker from the part I watched, was that when he walked in, the ABC commentator said, as he reached Alito, "... he greets his new Supreme Court Justice."

"His."
