How can anyone actually believe that 20,000 more troops...
sent to Iraq will actually help the situation. It is a drop in the bucket that will simply be more of an irritant to the situation and result in more Iraqi and American deaths. I am half-way through the book Fiasco -- and this option seems every bit as poorly thought out as all the decisions that lead to this point.

WHEN WILL SOMEONE BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS?

1. Here's one thing it will do:
Since McCain is advocating 30,000 more troops to 'fix it all up'...we all know what will happen when the additional troops are added>>>>>>>>Nothing, zip, nada, zero.

Which will make McCain end up looking more of a punk than he already does, and thus diminish his chances for 2008.

Otherwise, just more mayhem and dead people on both sides.

3. Can't we just keep McCain out of office the old fashion way?

2. It's a dog and pony show for the right wing.
It will fail, but the neocons will think it's great to have a show of force. (or in this case, farce)

5. No one believes. Not even those spouting that nonsense. But
they'll continue to raid the treasury as long as they can, even if it means telling the world that adding more troops will "win" the war.

6. We took Iraq with 150,000 troops, we still have 150,000 troops
there. There are now more than 350,000 Iraqi military and security
forces. (What took so long)

What on earth makes these idiots think that 20 or 30 thousand more TARGETS
will help.

They are insane.

7. Well, people believe that Saddam was the mastermind of 911.
Bush* & Cheney know that a repeated lie becomes fact to the true believers.
