2245 vs. the single digit?
I find this more inappropriate and offensive during a State of the Union address

than this

1. I agree, who decides what is considered inappropriate or protest?

3. So, there you go -- let's paint our fingers red
so everyone can remember all the blood that has been spilled. We now have precident set that painted fingers are not "protesting" otherwise these folks would have been removed from the gallery.

5. My point exactly...unless, of course, only supportive stunts are allowed.
If you support Little Lord Pissypants, well, then, you can do whatever you want and have it called appropriate

Effin hypocrites!

8. Bingo.
People have been allowed to hold up photos of loved ones during the SOTU before, I think.

It all depends on whether the little emperor would be offended, I guess.

11. Excellent suggestion, CornField! Done!
I'll be doing some tie-dying with my little boy this weekend, that stuff is damned hard to remove. So my right index finger will be red starting this weekend. Can't wait until folks start to ask why! Of course, I live in a blue state, so it won't be perceived as a huge statement -- in fact, maybe others will decide to do it, too!

Excellent silent protest -- if purple is ok, then red must be ok, too. Surely they can't arrest us for a mere change in hue, right?

13. We all start dying our pinky red to signify the opposition to the scrub
his policies and the war in Iraq. Sounds like a plan to me.

4. AW, how cute. The Pukes discovered finger paints.
In the next class, children, we can move to Crayolas.

Self-righteous pricks. Yeah, that "election" and "democracy" went REAL well over there, so much that the original poster woman has since renounced her portrait.

7. Thanks, I looked for that photo last night.
The "demonstration" last year was planned in advance by a large number of Republicans and even publicized ahead of time.

Why is that kind of demonstration allowed while Bush is at the podium, but Cindy was ejected before Bush even came into the room?

9. Stunning, isn't it?
Both could be arguably called political stunts, but one is applauded and the other leads to arrest.

14. me, me!
I have an answer.

One was done by "important" people; the other was done by a "regular" person. This country is all about propping up the important people, and excusing them for things nobody else could get away with.

Just another take on the issue.

12. These are the questions the MSM should be asking this morning
Political stunts: Permitted or Prohibited?
