I know why Bush wants to send more troops to Iraq
It's because the ISG said to start cutting back. Bush doesn't want to look as if he's knuckling under.

On Keith tonight when they were talking about Rumsfeld, someone said that Bush almost got rid of him a year ago, but then all those generals came out saying that Bush should fire him. Bush couldn't have fired Rumsfeld then because it would have made him look weak, caving in to the generals demands. I'm sure it's the same thing with Iraq. As long as Poppy's friends say to get out, he'll do just the opposite to prove that he's "resolute."

4. he's the commander in chief
he's the war president Commanders and war presidents don't need other advice. Remember he's the decider. How anyone can support him after he's said these things is truly amazing. Have you ever heard a President refer to himself as the Commander in Chief. You don't usually refer to your title. But he is so childish.

5. what can we say about george, he is just a BS'er an ignorant
and arrogant one. His so called power will crumble, and hopefully on him. He has no regard for human life.
I would just love to slap that smirk off his face.

6. I'm surprised he hasn't started to wear a uniform with epaulets and everything
like some South American generalissimo.

And have you noticed whenever he's giving a press conference with other people, he always walks a few steps ahead of them. I noticed this yesterday when he came out with Cheney and Condi behind him. He has to make a grand entrance.

7. Which brings up the question, then who is he talking to and
why? He apparently doesn't listen to anyone. Like a child that you tell "no" to and they immediately do it!

These people that tell these stories on bush seems like they are speaking from a position to know what they are talking about. So, how long before the repubs do their duty and insist he go, or else.

We can only hope that our honorable troops over there doing bush's dirty work don't know the truth yet! Best they believe they are keeping the faith for their country. Sheesh, what a sad betrayal.

8. They know what an idiot Bush is, believe me.
And never let anyone tell you that "all troops voted for Bush" in 2004. My brother was in Iraq in 2004 during the election season and he will tell you that the opposite was in fact the case.

Imagine how horrible it is, to be over there knowing that "The Great Decider" is playing God with YOUR life because he is not man enough to admit what a total joke he is.

The troops know...many of them have Internet access in their housing.

9. Oh Gawd, what a bitch that must be
The news show those that say they (troops) are doing the right thing. Silly me, was hoping tho.

A young man (marine) of 19 my grandson is friends with is leaving the first of the year to do his first tour. He is such a nice kid, guess most are, but, like he took my granddaughter to prom, etc. It hurts more when you are up close and personal. Hope your brother isn't asked to go back!! Any of them for that matter.

Welcome to DU.

10. What They Meant is That All of the Troops' Votes Were Switched to Bush**
or at least any ballots marked for Kerry were "missing in action".

11. Oppositional Defiant Disorder, forever
The nasty little 60-year-old brat is always going to do the opposite of anything the adults want him to do.

Maybe it's time for some reverse psychology.
