8. As Far As B* Speeches Go
It was smoother than most He didn't propose anything terribly radical I still can't stand the little bastard but I can't say it wasn't a "D-" speech as opposed to his usual "F--" speech

16. I'd be interested in seeing the numbers on how many watched the speech.
It was, after all, just lies and boring rhetoric. Keep the tax cuts. Let him continue to spy on Americans. The Medicare drug bill is great. We are WINNING the war. Same shit, different day.

Don't be surprised if he doesn't. But still...don't freak out if his numbers go up three points. Presidents usually get a bump after the SotU. Americans like to feel good about themselves, and the SotU is the perfect opportunity for it.

20. What happens when you ask 100 people if they watched spy chimp talk
and 4 people said yes. It's possible 3 people thought it was good. There's your 77% (+/- 2% polling accuracy)

23. The only people who could stand watching the speech were repukes.
Therefore, the sampling would necessarily be skewed to people who either like Bush or are so politically unaware that they don't know how odious Bush really is. I heard some time ago that these types of speeches disproportionately draw an audience predisposed to like them.
