KY-Senate: George Clooney?
Well, kos is tossing it out there as a possibility. Citing a KY news story, Clooney is quoted in Esquire as saying he's rethinking running for office.

Wouldn't that be an interesting race?

3. There's only one way to convince me to EVER move to Kentucky..
and that is if George runs for office...I think it's rather unlikely and it would be a Bill O'Reilly and other RW pundit "wet dream" of the California librul wanting to undermine the heartland values but it would be fun to watch

4. The saying goes that Democrats want their politicians to be celebrities
while Republicans want their celebrities to be politicians.

I would prefer seriousminded lawmakers who believe in good and open government.

6. Why no George Clooney avatar? Or Betty Bacall, etc. Good Democrats!
Get rid of some John Kerrys and the rapist from "Clockwork Orange," and add George, and Betty!

7. Isn't it a bit of a step down, going from Sexiest Man Alive to...
...the Democratic Fred Grandy?

8. Was he actually born in KY? Seems unlikely he'd relocate

In this hand, you have Kentucky ... and in this hand, you have Lake Como, Italy. Hmmm, REALLY hard to choose ... NOT!

I can see him running, but maybe not from that state.

9. His family is from Kentucky
Aunt Rosemary Clooney? From Mayfield, I believe. Dad lived in N.Ky. and was a longtime newsman in Cincinnati (may still be ...).

And don't knock KY unless you've been there.
