NOLA DUers: Does anyone know of an inexpensive rental in Slidell?

A friend of mine displaced by Katrina has been living with family in Covington, but they are now selling their house and moving away. My friend has her grandson that she is raising with her, and they are looking for something inexpensive, possibly a single/studio, a mother-in-law house, or a house sharing arrangement.

My friend is employed and is starting a new job in December. (Her old job was lost in Katrina as well and she has been living on odd jobs.)

My friend could bring many advantages to a house sharing situation. She can do household repairs (she owns her own tools); she is also a very kind and giving type of person.

Please IM me if you might know of something. This friend has been through a lot and I'd like to see her get a break.

There are a few places listed. However, there are links to other places. I am not within walking distance to Slidell, otherwise I'd just tool around looking at signs, but that is a good way to find something (if your friend is already in the area).
