Lieberman and his ilk are out to kill my 13 year old son.
You want to know why I despise him and his Neo-Con fucking buddies? Because if they have their way, the military will have no choice but to start a draft hence putting my sons life in danger.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Joe Lieberman, may have agreed to caucus with the Democrats in the next congressional term, but the Connecticut independent made it clear Wednesday he would not hold the party line on a call for phased troop withdrawals.

"Both general Abizaid and Ambassador Satterfield were quite clear and to me convincing, that for congress to order the beginning of a phased redeployment, a withdrawal of American troops from Iraq within the next 4 to 6 months would be a very serious mistake and would endanger ultimate the United States," Lieberman told reporters after the Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Iraq.

To all you Lieberman apologists... YOU GOT KIDS!!!!!

2. I would be more convinced of his
sincerity if HIS kids were there. Why hasn't he instilled the need for service during wartime into his own and stop expecting to send ours.

None of these people who are pro war send their own and they should be called on it.

Senator-elect Webb's son is there and he wants them home. That is someone to listen to.

3. and the best way to stop Neocons is with a Dem Senate Majority
Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 05:19 PM by LSK
And the best way to expose the frauds of the NeoCons is to hold hearings from the Dem Senate.

Lieberman is here. I am not an apologist. I live in reality thou. Who do you want chairing the Armed Services Committee or the Intelligence Committee?

Big picture please.

14. Unfortunately, no.
Many Nutmeggers wanted to recall former Gov. John Rowland (R-Jailbird), but alas, Connecticut law has no recall provision. :(

9. I hope you don't get banned...
Because I feel EXACTLY the same way. There's only ONE country that it isn't acceptable to criticize... why? What makes that one country so special?

12. True, they want this to go on way into the future.
Why? Who the fuck knows, but they do, and new soldiers are being born right now. My youngest son is 23.

13. No worry: Chuck Hagel and other Republicans will vote with the Dems.
Bush's invasion of Iraq resulted in:

1.) Civil war in Iraq
2.) The eventual yielding of most of Iraq to Iran
3.) 3,000 American dead
4.) 30,000 American wounded
5.) Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians dead
6.) $11 Million per hour for all this time wasted
7.) The ruin of America's military readiness and equipment
8.) The loss of respect by the entire world
9.) The formal charging of a U.S. Secretary of Defense for War Crimes
10.) The turn-over of the House of Representatives and the Senate to the Democratic Party
11.) The humiliation of a sitting president taking orders from his daddy
12.) The Chief of Staff of the Vice President standing trial for felonies.

Even if Lieberman won't vote for phased re-deployment, there will be more than enough Republicans in the Senate who will.

17. I'm also a parent to a 13 year old son.....
...and share your rage against the BushCo war machine. For him (and my 17 year old daughter), I have felt the most anger at how not only in Iraq, but anywhere on this planet my kiddos won't enjoy the same relative safety that we did during our (backpack through Europe) early days. And thats simply because BushCo has created so much hatred against Americans. When my kids youth hostel through Europe, will they be greeted the same way I was 20 years ago?

Lets hope Trumad, that by the time our sons have to register for the "selective service", it will still be selective and a Democratic President would have turned down the heat of the war mongers and the hatred BushCo has planted.
