We are a creative bunch, I am sure we can find some cool names to help.

24. This is serious
my suggestion, I mean.

Stephen.

I have known several Stephens all throughout my life (I'm pretty old) and have never met one I didn't like. In fact, one of the most blessed, kind, smart and hysterically funny men I know is named Stephen, so it's always been my favorite name. ;) (Oh, and all the Stephens I've known have pronounced it Steven -- not Stefan.)

And there's an awesome Grateful Dead song, St. Stephen.

47. There are some great names in politics right now:
Sherrod, William Jefferson, Sheldon, Byron, Edward,

Old standards: Franklin, Theodore, Lincoln

But really the best names are family names. It's something someone can hold onto no matter where they go, to remind them where they came from.

Edited on Wed Nov-15-06 11:32 AM by alfredo
our first child Blister Dipstick. She was not amused.

A heroic name would be nice, but not one that would get him/her beat up.

Check the Soap Operas, note the names, then eliminate them from consideration.

Don't pick a name while the mother is still groggy or pissed off at the pain you put her through. You don't want the baby named "Rununhlhifnsl" or "Never Again."

Anyway, congrats

80. I already did: "Armon Tanzarian Allen"
As usual, it was ignored ... probably because fewer than 10% even understood it.

87. Cheuy
I love that name! :7

Really, I think the Skinners are perfectly capable of finding and deciding on
a suitable name on their own.

But, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, Don't... And I mean it, DO NOT name your child with
the same name or a derivative of my name! I speak from experience... He'll be
dog piled by every TeeVee evangelist and exorcist wannabe to come down the pike.

Pssst... Go with Cheuy. ;)

91. How about an old, dignified Saxon name... like Hengist
After one of the Saxon leaders who invaded/settled in England (Thomas Jefforson was a big fan, evidently). I won't suggest his brotther's name, though. You just know hoe the other kids would react to "Horsa".
