"Bill, George Show Keeps Laughs Coming"
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - They're separated by more than 20 years, they come from opposing political parties, and one evicted the other from the White House. But Bill Clinton and George Bush act like a team, a pair of touring comedians with a well-honed act.

The two former presidents even have their entrance down pat, striding in with arms aloft, music pounding, lights flashing, the crowd standing and going wild.

The pair addressed more than 25,000 people attending the National Association of Realtors convention on Saturday, drawing at least six standing ovations and almost continuous applause.

It's the biggest convention to come to the city since Hurricane Katrina hit Aug. 29, 2005, and Bush and Clinton have raised $130 million to help the region recover from the storm. They also have raised money for victims of disasters including the 2004 Asian tsunami, which killed more than 213,000.

1. You get the feeling Bush Sr. is "building his legacy"?
Inasmuch as his son was such a disappointment, and doesn't listen to him, he is trying to do something to be remembered as a "nice guy." My only question is, when is his wife going to crack down and insist that he stop seeing Bill Clinton? Barbara has her standards, you know.

4. He is his official baby sitter. Put a piece of paper in front of
Poppy Bush and he is a statesman. Have him go from point A to point B, Clinton will grab his hand and has even grabbed his arm to turn him in the right direction (sometimes very sternly). GHW Bush's mind is going just like most elderly. Clinton is "atoning" for Bush Jr. so he and his wife are still welcome in certain social circles.

That's the only reason Bill Clinton would be doing what he is doing. IMHO.

3. Bill is the oldest son he never had
He's the same age as his idiot son, but unlike the Chimp he is actually competent.

5. For all his down home dumshit act, Clinton is every bit
the corporatist free trader that poppy bush is except without the pedigree. Of course these two get along like asshole buddies, they're the same person. Good for them for their Katrina efforts but I don't believe Amurkins will ever again elect anyone named Cliinton or Bush to national office.
