Independence Day - The Election Result Game
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 08:53 PM by ellisonz
Obviously, it's going to take time for things to get rolling in Washington, so let's play a game. Make 5 bold predictions for things you think will happen by next July 4th as a result of this election.

Go.

My Five:

1. Investigations into Iraq contract bidding will put intense pressure on individual Republican Reps and Senators resulting in 5-10 resignations in the house and maybe a Senator or two.
2. The federal minimum wage will be increased over a Presidential veto by nervous Republicans w/Democrats.
3. The Democratic majorities in Congress will be solidified by their new control of power - greater unity=more positive results from Congress.
4. Scooter Libby will be convincted and new evidence will result in Fitzgerald bringing charges against Rove in the Plame Case...Rove's trial will take until at least the summer of 2008.
5. Dick Cheney will resign over Rumsfeld and the fallout with Bush to give Rove's choice for 2008 a launching pad.

Your turn.
