While the taste of bile and disgruntlement is still fresh in Republican mouths.

"Too bad with all those machine votes that a recount was just a formality in the Allen/Webb race. Now maybe we'll never know if there were any problems. Oh well."

1. I want the Republicans screaming to ban the damn things.
It's just so funny that they always thought the cheating could go only one way.

2. Let me say that I don't think there was any Democratic cheating. But if your guy loses,
and you felt he/she should win, it's natural to have that bitter feeling and at least think, a little, "hey they cheated!"

Rove era made Republicans whose brains were pickled by FOX news and Rush think that it was not possible that they would ever lose again.

4. I agree...good politiccs for the Democrats, too.
1st order of business is to fix HAVA permanently, so everyone's vote counts. VVPB. Part of that should be election reform and tactics of voter suppression. No more 6 hour waiting lines or robo-calls or threats to voters. Put some muscle in defending everyone's right to vote.

It makes us look bi-partisan and the opportunity is now. Let's git her done.

5. Yes, and let's have elections on a weekend too, or early voting in all states.
Let's ENFRANCHISE some people for God's sake.

6. Absolutely
1st order of business to make our election system as safe as possible. I don't want to ever feel like we might lose our democracy again! It's a bad feeling.
