2008 Senate Races
In the next election cycle, repubs are defending 21 seats and Dems only 12, so we have an excellent chance to extend our majority with the 2008 elections. (Wouldn't it be nice to have a filibuster proof majority in the senate to go with our new democratic president?)

We have a chance to extend the success of Dean's 50-state strategy with repubs defending in several states that showed up well last night, including several states in the south and mountain west. There are repub senators up for re-election in Minnesota, Oregon, Maine, and New Hampshire. But Dems will be defending in some reddish states as well, including Montana, Louisiana, Arkansas, and South Dakota. (The good news is we had success in MT this time around.)

All in all the prospects look good for building on our momentum from this election. Of course, much will depend on the presidential race and on what happens between now and then.

If you have other information about the '08 races, please add :)
