17. Deal with the devil
The Democrats are stuck. Assuming that we win in Viriginia and Montana (increasingly safe assumptions) we have a one vote majority in the Senate. Theoretically that means anyone could hold things up to get their way, but practically speaking we know who it will be.

Worse, would you be comfortable discussing strategy against the White House with Lieberman in the room, knowing that as soon as the meeting is over he'll be calling Karl Rove and spilling his guts?

Lieberman has yet to get the come-uppance he deserves.

18. I was absolutely crushed last night
I was going to wear all black today, but if we took the house and senate without holy joe,i shall wear blue!Ned got almost half the votes,so he did have a tremendous amount of support.

5. Outlook, very good.
VA is a goner for Macaca. Webb has too large a margin for Macaca to make up with a recount.

MT looks very good. Tester should win. The pundits are flapping their gums about VA, but this is the race which will finally make it for the Dems. If John Tester wins, we'll have a majority in both houses of Congress.

There's gonna be champagne for breakfast tomorrow. Mimosa and eggs.

13. VA #'s are coming from CNN & MSNBC. Allen is still going to contest it
but I listened to Jeff Tubin and he said in all recounts in the past, the highest change in the count was 35 votes. If you are talking about 7,000 votes, Webb most likely will still be the winner!

10. did Allen concede?
From the numbers it looks like Webb has won - but it also seems close enough for Allen to demand a recount..
