I am pissed off. Would someone tell me how to put my post in the same manner(font) as everyone else? I have contributed to the DU, twice, but not this time around, so I do not have a star now.

I am watching Arnold after 25% of the voted counted ... accept the post of Governor for the State of California.... and my ballot has not been counted yet because I chose NOT to vote with these stupid electronic machines.

California has been fixed.

What is Arnold doing? Many demos turned out today, and I bet they did not vote for Arnold either!

Your post looks normal to me. The signature lines and avatars are missing since there is a lot of traffic on DU tonight...

The projection is that Arnold is winning...And a lot of Dems did vote for him...

Not this one, though! We used paper ballots in my town, Manhattan Beach.

I don't think the vote was rigged........ :shrug:

2. I voted with a whole roomful of Angelides people

I know, since I voted at the senior center and the elderly folk were "whispering" loudly to each
other. lol

I think Angelides was never meant to win. Honestly. :(

But 85 went down to defeat. Jerry is Attorney General (lord how I wish he could trade places with the
Gubernator)

3. Results are frequently anounced before all the votes are counted.

They project who will win, once enough votes have been counted to prove that, even if all (or most, or enough) of the other votes go to loser the winner still has enough votes to win. It is really frustrating for me to see this also, esp since I end up voting late in the day (previous elections), sometimes after the "results" were announced (many elections ago) or by absentee ballot which I know hasn't been counted yet. Many people did not vote for Arnold, but enough did. The final vote tallies will not be known for a bit.

My wish is that they would not announce "winners" until ALL the votes are counted, accurately. But I don't think that will happen.

Thanks to all for the welcome. The 'font' turned out alright after my second post. Uppityperson, I am retired now and I agree with your response to me. Over the years, it has been so frustrating to rush from work to go and vote and listen to the radio and the election is just about over when it comes to us here in California going to vote anyway.
What happened today, was different. Oh well, we are stuck with Arnold now. I have watched Keith all night and recorded Jon Stewart, so I will catch up with Jon in the morning. Looks like we took the House ... and working on the Senate. I just want America back.
I love the DU, and I have my DU sticker on the back of my car and I drive my car proudly, along with the VFW sticker which belongs to hubby.
We are going to take this country back, and the american people have spoken.
