Is Ford done?
Looking bad, but of course it's early. The last number i saw on MSNBC were 53% Corker, 46% Ford. Will it even out, or pull to our side later? Not a Ford fan, but we really need his seat.

9. Patience is a virtue i don't posses......
But i'm working on it. I just hate to see Tennessee painted with the brush of racism if he loses. Oh well we can hope it tightens and if the east reports earlier than the middle and west thats possible.

2. Dont know. I think that commercial really did him in and pulled in the folks
who may have been on the verge of voting for him back to their roots. I visited Chattanooga a couple of months ago. No disrespect intended, but there are still some serious racial issues very apparent there.

3. Someone should tell him not to concede until all the provisional
ballots and absentee ballots are accounted for and counted.

4. the only thing I saw a while ago was a report on the weather in the state
the republican areas were getting pounded with bad weather while the dem part of the state was left with clear skies.

I don't know how this will fall out - if the dem region of the state is counted late, or what.

10. If They're Going To Steal...
You can bet TN and either MO or VA are at the top of their list.

No way they want to lose the Senate, so they might try to STEAL all three.

We can hope though. Hope for a miracle!

6. Randi Rhodes said that there were over 800,000 early votes. That may help him.

This question has been puzzling me.

7. Blessing in disguise
That guy is bad news. If elected I think he'll be the next Lieberman squared. And you will never get rid of him, though I'm praying LIEberman goes down.

18. Ridiculous Ralph Nader 2000 meme
Bullshit. A bad thing? Do you realize that control of the Senate allows a Democratic majority to ram passed bill after passed bill down Bush's throat. Forcing him to stand there like an idiot vetoing the mandate of America? Not to mention the power to hold committee investigations into the Bush administration. WE ARE THE BIG TENT PARTY! WE LISTEN WITH RESPECT TO OPINIONS AND WE INCLUDE PEOPLE WHO MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH US 100%.

The bottom line is, the R's for the last 10 years have created the United States of the Republican Party. Do we want to create the United States of the Democratic Party?? No. We want to be the party of open acceptance. The Untied States of America. Where even if we disagree with a point of view, if we find common ground we can work together. Or even be on the same side for the majority of the time!

11. This one hurts our chances tremendously if Ford loses
If Ford loses, then at best, we can tie the Senate at 50/50 and we'll have to win Missour and Virginia to do that. Even with a 50/50 tie, Cheney would be the deciding vote.

The model I'm using assumes that we'll win Montana too, but it assumes that Chafee will win in Rhode Island, which isn't a lock yet...

14. Think Ford is the best man. But will a state like that vote in a black man?
This silly stuff goes on for years I think.

17. I am a native hillbilly from N.C. right on the Tennesse border.
So those in the east are just like everyone else i know. Sadly yes there are some terribally racist people in the area. Whats sad is most folks are poor as shit, yet they vote against themselves.

16. different time zones
Chattanooga and Knoxville should be an hour earlier than Nashville and Memphis. Don't know if that will make a difference or not.

19. Thanks !
Thats what i was thinking. I am sure that will tighten it up. Also thats not couting those 800,000 absentee's mentioned up thread. Theres a ton more blacks in the middle and west, that should help. Serious, east Tenn. is like my home in the mountains of N.C., you have to look hard to find many black people.
