Repug attacks Dem Texas State Rep while he was waiting in line to vote

This morning in Dripping Springs Texas Rick Green(R) (Former State Rep defeated by Rose in 2002) attacked Democrat Patrick Rose while he was waiting in line to vote.

Green was charged with a Class A misdemeanor Assault with bodily injury.

They're showing their true colors under pressure.

State Rep. Patrick Rose, D-Dripping Springs, is downplaying an altercation at a polling place Tuesday.

The incident was between Rose and his former opponent Rick Green, the Hays County Sheriff's Office confirmed. Rose defeated Green four years ago.

Green approached Rose at the polling place outside the Sunset Canyon Baptist Church and pushed him and then punched him.

Rose was not injured seriously, and would not speculate on Green's motives.

7. Patrick is the Democrat who was attacked. He's not wild, believe me!

He was a friend of my daughter's in high school and went to Princeton on a golf scholarship and graduated from UT Law School. Green is no cowboy, either. He was run out of office because of all the scandals he got involved in, including selling vitamins via a video filmed at his state office in the Capitol. He's about as sleazy as they get.

This happened where I voted today, apparently while I was there in line for 90 minutes but there was no commotion. It's a suburban area outside of Austin.

So I'm afraid none of this fits the Texas caricature. :)

Green is a world-class corrupt asshole, now he's a common criminal.

in the land of the lost, the most I can hope for are Dems in our local races. If I have to sweetly express my candidates views to one more snippy republican I will barf, and I'm not kidding. I have a headache that started on Monday when I started knocking on doors and has just gotten worse since then.

I was also wondering about this wrt the Y2K riots in Florida. I am pretty sure that the people trying to count the votes could have mowed down those rioters w/ impunity.
