I am going to go out on a limb and predict a Lamont win tomorrow
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 09:33 PM by Quixote1818
Reasons

Support for Lieberman is SOFT!

Support for Lamont is SOLID!

Dem's are extremely motivated to get rid of Lieberman. BIG TIME!!!!

Lamont's ground game will win out.

1 out of five Republicans will abandon Lieberman in the booth.

Republicans also won't show up because they think it's a 10 point advantage.

It only takes a small % of Republicans to not show up or to switch to the other Republican.

We are talking about CT a VERY liberal state.

Mark this thread, my gut tells me this is going to happen.

1. Hope you are right. We have zeal on our side. They have shameful
scandals. I think that will supress Repukes nationwide.

5. I hope that Lamont's democratic support is more motivated
the latest Quinnipiac poll on this race still indicates that Lieberman is getting more than a quarter of the Democratic vote. If they don't turn out in the numbers of Lamont's supporters and if Schlisinger can get more Republican votes than now predicted then, yes, I think Lamont has a chance.

10. I sure hope so. I still don't see Republicans actually voting for him.
They talk big, but I don't see they actually voting for a "Dem"

Never Forget: George W. Bush willfully violated National Security to cover-up his willful launch of a war of aggression and illegal occupation of Iraq .... and, now he willfully provided nuke-making instructions to terrorists -- if you doubt it, just check 'the google' .... and LIEberman enabled him every step of the way ....

16. I really think Lamont will be the surprise of the day.
Joe's victory depends on Republicans going to the polls and pulling the lever for a man they were trained to hate in 2000.

What's it going to look like? Picture William Shatner trying to fight off Alien mind control.

Maybe I'm not seeing something here but I honestly think Joe's numbers are going to collapse tomorrow.

18. "man they wre trained to hate in 2000"
Excellent point !

I think Rell's popularity will give Schlesinger more votes than expected as Repubs vote the entire ticket.

I predict Alan will get 15-20% of the vote and Ned will beat LIEberman but it will be close
