Actually, you know, they don't have to filibuster.
They just have to decide they haven't heard enough to make up their minds...every time a cloture vote comes up.

I mean, they could take the position, "We're not going to vote for cloture until we've heard enough to satisfy us that Alito would be good for the country," and it would still be a filibuster.
