Right up front, I have NO use for this man as a presidential candidate. He stands (lies down) for everything that's wrong with the Democratic Party when it comes to running for the highest office in the land. But I digress.

His comment about getting higher education or going to Iraq was dead on. Anybody who ever faced the choice of going to college or going to the First Viet Nam back in the 1960s knows what I'm talking about. Democrat Lyndon Johnson wanted my middle-class white southern ass in a foxhole just the same as Nixon did. The only thing that kept me OUT of there was my student deferment--exactly the same as a shitload of Republic Warhawks who have NO fucking room to talk about "supporting our troops" in 2006.

Fast forward to two hours ago and look at Rumsfeld's agreement to 100,000 more troops in IraqNam and/or John McCain's theory that we need 20,000 more troops Over There--and ask yourself where the FUCK "we" are going to get troops in such numbers. Your answer is conscription, in short, The Draft.

Fuckup, misspeak, Freudian slip, or whatever you want to call it, John Kerry--who SERVED this country in the First Viet Nam when the current "leaders" ran like rabbits--was WAY more right than he was wrong to point out to us that our young people can either get a clue or get a uniform.

In THIS narrow, specific instance, the Senator has NO APOLOGIES to make to ANYONE. Least of all the Wartime Deserter bu$h or his butch Cheney.
