OMG! This country is being run like a CORPORATION!!!
Many have observed that I have an special knack at stating the obvious....

I'm not really too good at starting threads. Actually I'm much better at ending them.

But here it goes....

Didn't our fearless fascist leader at some point say he was going to run this country like it was a corporation? I'm fairly sure he did. Anyway, look where it got us. The way corporations are run, is each person is considered a modular work unit. Their individual qualities, talents, and limitations are ignored. I'm not saying ALL corporations are bad. In theory they should benefit society, but now that profiteers run the show, nothing matters except the very top shareholders.

Notice that above I included 'limitations'. We are not all spectacular, but this fake society tells us we have to be just to get by. As a result, not a lot of us are getting by very well... How many people are prepared for retirement? How many people really feel financially secure? How many people have decent health benefits? The point is we are good only for as long as we can put out, and many of us don't have what the corporate leaders want, so putting out isn't enough, so all we have left to do is work until we can't work any more... then, nothing.

Well, there you have it. We are left with a nation of peasants. Nobody really matters. We are all considered automatons in what was once a society.

5. my five year old sadly said to me:
I know why you have to go to school. To learn to stand quietly in line.

That was 25 years ago and it broke my heart because it's true.

When this CEO and his management team are done, the stockholders are going to be left with a worthless shell.

13. The Dow says it All
This might sound dry.

We finally hit 12,000. Horaw!!! Oh, wait, we were approaching 12,000 in the year 2000.... in reality we have made negative progress. The Republicans are so pathetic that they are boasting negative progress.

I don;t care so much that we are not making financial headway as a country. Money doesn't mean much to me. But when a large portion of our people are being fooled, then something is seriously wrong.

We have no make adjustments for what is obviously a 6 year downturn. We can't go on believing that everything is going great. We have to take care of those who are suffering, those who can't afford the doctor, education, utilities, food, and housing all at once. We can't go on blaming people for what is a nation wide economic downturn.

It is not about money, it is about working together and supporting one another, and especially not letting the rich take way the profits of the many. Republicans are afraid of the rich, as if they will leave if we don;t appease them. Well let them leave... this is America and you have to understand what that means if you want to stay.
