Swoon! My heroes! Sending in the women to do their dirty work.
Big brave "W" and Crashcart, approval numbers in the toilet. Campaign trail poison. So who do they send out? That vile harpy Lynne Cheney, the Ice Queen Laura, and "America's Grandmother" Barbara. All three of them "riled up" about the election, as the media puts it. All three popping off in tones that would be labeled "shrill" and "angry" if being uttered by Democratic ladies.

Have fun flying around on America's dime, you three, because nobody's buying what you're selling.

That is all. :)

2. crashcart, that's a good one. When I heard that his wife was
upset and taking it out on the media, that's what I thought. They are sending the women folk in to do their pr work.

3. Funny thing is, the only reason Laura is popular- especially with Republicans-
Edited on Sat Oct-28-06 10:43 AM by Marr
is because she keeps her mouth shut. They like women who keep their mouths shut and dress like Donna Reed. So I don't see how having her speak at political gatherings is all that effective.

Lynne Cheney is just immediately unlikeable, and clearly just as much of a totalitarian asshole as her husband.

hesitated and then realized that she didn't have an answer. Made her think a little.

6. That's funny.
I think W benefits from the same thing. I think the only thing most of his fans really like about him is that he pisses off non-Republicans. And that's just sad.

The last minute desperation of the H.W. Campaign - of the "my dog Millie" variety.

7. Lynne Cheney can be exposed as a feminazi and closet "ac/dc lesbian"
...who would swing either way based on her need to dominate and control. In one of Lynne Cheney’s books, a Republican vice-president dies of a heart attack while having sex with his mistress. Wishful thinking on Lynne's part, perhaps.

Laura Bush can never outrun her manslaughter incident even on mega doses of dramamine and demeral.

As for Barbara Bush, all she has to do is open her mouth and both feet involuntarily enter into the gap.

10. Just what voter are they supposed to appeal to?
The middle is fed up with W and the Bushbots and yet the desperate Rs seem to be playing strictly to their base? :wtf:

Last time I checked, appealing to 30-40% of the likely voters doesn't win elections.

Barbara is charging $25.00 for people to have a photo snapped with her, like she is some prize sow. It's quite ridiculous, no new votes are being won over.

A slight twist of fate and it could have been this story.....

http://www.poeforward.com/mrperfumery/deadgirls/historical/depression/barker/barker.htm

Kate "Ma" Barker had four sons by her loser husband George. Herman, Lloyd, Arthur and Fred began their careers with petty crimes, then auto theft, then bank robbery, and then murder. Finally, they hit the big time with kidnapping.

Interviews with male felons suggested a pattern of poor-quality relationship with the mother, as proposed by Bowlby. To test for an association between quality of attachment and later criminality, the retrospective Adult Attachment Scale was given to 135 felons. Anxious attachment predicted more felony convictions, and was also associated with maternal punitiveness, as has been found for young children.
Other research has found that maternal punitiveness predicts
delinquency, as well as predicting briefer adult romantic relationships.
Criminality and brief romances were associated with paternal neglect as
well. Lastly, criminality was related to having half-sibs (45% of the
sample) and stepsibs (35%), family patterns characterized by maternal
punitiveness and paternal inattentiveness. Inter-generational
perpetuation of criminality may be fostered by weak affective family
relations, aggravated by low sibling consanguinity. Brevity of romances,
coupled with multiple romances will lead to low consanguinity among
sibs. This may intensify competition among sibs leading to frequent
punishment by the mother. Paternal neglect may also be fostered by
low consanguinity of sibs

Calif. Letter Debunks Intimidating Flier

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- The California Secretary of State mailed letters Wednesday to counteract an intimidating flier linked to a Republican congressional candidate's campaign that warned immigrants they could go to jail if they vote.

The bilingual letter, endorsed by several Hispanic civil rights groups, encourages U.S. citizens to vote Nov. 7, informs them of the official state requirements to register and tells them to ignore the "false and misleading" information in the earlier flier.

The letter went out to all 14,000 Hispanic voters who received the flier sent this month. It was linked to the campaign of Tan Nguyen, who running for Democratic Rep. Loretta Sanchez's seat in Orange County. Written in Spanish, it warned: "You are advised that if your residence in this country is illegal or you are an immigrant, voting in a federal election is a crime that could result in jail time."

In fact, naturalized U.S. citizens have the right to vote.

State and federal investigators are looking into possible voting rights violation; Nguyen's campaign office was raided last week.
