New Math - when 34 is greater than 39. CNN front page link on
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 10:57 AM by NRaleighLiberal
how people feel about their Civil Liberties as a result of the misadministration war on terror policies. Headline is that Most feel that their civil liberties are not harmed.....and the article indicates that 34% do not. Yet, the article states that 39% think that their CLs ARE harmed. So, in the CNN world of My Pet Goat, Leave no child behind new math, 34 is greater than 39. I guess that is why the misadministration is not concerned about the mounting casualties in Iraq - because more deaths are, to them, actually less deaths.

2. The remainder actually said NOT ENOUGH!
Edited on Thu Oct-26-06 10:38 AM by Atman
I heard it on the teevee this morning, but I didn't look at their page. As I recall, the choices were

Bush has restricted my civil liberties TOO MUCH
Bush has NOT restricted civil liberties too much.
Bush has not restricted civil liberties ENOUGH. :wow:

They're lumping the NO in with the NOT ENOUGH.

But the extremely frightening part of this story is that so many Americans actually have the ability to even utter the words "Bush has not restricted civil leberties ENOUGH." Nothing like encouraging the madman. How about taking a civics lesson, America. The results of this poll among the most shameful I've ever seen. Disgusting. I'm saddened for our nation.

4. I thought that CNN might have just switched the numbers

And typed in the lower instead of the higher, but I was wrong.

Here's the graphic that goes with the story:

In the story, hit the link that says "view poll results." It's on the second slide.

It's 1984, folks. Republicans are Democrats, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and now, Less is More.

Hey, the clock just struck 13. I have to go report to the Telescreen for morning exercise.
