Sixty-five active-duty members have sent Appeals for Redress to Members of Congress. Three of these people (including two who served in Iraq) and their attorney will speak about this on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. EDT.

Under the Military Whistle-Blower Protection Act (DOD directive 7050.6), active-duty military, National Guard and Reservists can file and send a protected communication to a Member of Congress regarding any subject without reprisal.

9. More White Noise...Red Meat

This regime is trying to load up the 24/7 cycle with non-issues...moronic press conferences and other "special events" to chew up time that could be used to run another Michael Ware report or discuss the latest Congressional investigation. It's meant to create a "dialogue" where none exists and to "frame" issues by making them "issues". It's creating chatter to muddy the waters and throw non issues or minor ones against the major ones and attempt to nulify the affects those are having on the moderates and independents.

Most of all, the game is boiling down to the bases. Turn out will be key and the GOOP is using hate radio and these dog and pony shows to buck up the base and create the chatter that Rove hopes will fill the church busses and nudge the reluctant to show up on election day...and make races close...or close enough (wink wink, nod nod)
