How much we have regressed in six years
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 07:22 PM by the_outsider
since 2000 when we had a president who could actually speak English.

In six years since then, what have we got?

1) 9/11 despite a series of warnings
2) A civil war in Iraq
3) An out-of-control dictator with nuclear weapons
4) Unprecedented deficits and debt levels
5) 3000 soldiers dead for nothing
6) Crony capitalism at its worst - spiralling wealth and income inequality
7) Global standing at historical low
8) Civil liberties disappearing, habeas corpus in danger
9) Executive branch out of control with legislative and judicial branches becoming just cheerleaders.
10)Election irregularities and erosion of our trust in democratic process

and that's merely the top 10.

This is a crisis. We can not be apathetic. That speech helps us not to be.

1. don't forget worse environment and more extreme supreme court
but hey, some of us got a $300 tax break, so it's all worth it, right?

3. I'd Say We're Somewhere Between The Revolution and the Civil War
It may be a hybrid of the two....with a little Watergate thrown in for seasoning.
