Robertson re *: "He’s a born again believer..that respect he's a good guy"

http://wordnews.org/a_week_with_Pat_Robertson.2006.htm

<snip>

On the war in Iraq: "I think he missed it on this Iraq war. And I believe the fact that he does not seek counsel as he should is a mistake and for some reason he is not a terribly articulate spokesperson. He is not an eloquent speaker. He has a hard time getting his points across."

On President Bush's leadership style: "I think they have a close-the- wagon mentality, that anybody who disagrees with him is in trouble."

Robertson said he's met with President Bush in the past.

"We’ve prayed together," he said. "He’s a born again believer. In that respect he's a good guy. But he's also a politician and there's things he's done, he's signed bills into law that he should not have signed."

Robertson criticized Bush for not vetoing such bills such as campaign finance reform, the farm bill and prescription benefits. And he's not pleased with "these terrible deficits we're running. Congress has just run amok. I think conservatives are unhappy about that."

4. My hatred for these damn
people is almost as strong as my love of beer. This guys head must swell like a Macy's Day Parade float every time a republican comes to his castle to kiss his ring.

7. Pat's an Old Testament "Christian" Jesus-Free Christianity
King Herrod would've approved of torture - it's good enough for Pat.

11. Wouldn't want to lose those corporate sponsors
<<Robertson criticized Bush for not vetoing such bills such as campaign finance reform>>

Apparently working for the good of corporations rather than people is a Christian thing to do. I mean, really, WHOSE BRIBES WOULD JESUS TAKE? ;-)
