These local news people are doing an amazing job of fielding calls from people in distress throughout the islands.

5. Makes me homesick!
I grew up in Hawaii, from the age of 11 to 18. I moved back to the mainland, but my mother lived on Kauai when both hurricanes hit, and the way people come together to help each other in Hawaii is simply amazing.

My heart is there, and I am there in spirit.

Thanks for the link!

6. I can't seem to get this link to work for me. I'm concerned about the Big
Island. Just saw the report about the state of emergency and damages. An old friend of mine recently moved to Hilo with her sons and I'm wondering how they're faring.

14. I think it is one of the plug-ins I have installed
I installed this extension (MediaPlayerConectivity) that allows me to 'pop out 'embedded types of streams, which I like, but sometimes I have trouble with other sites.

15. What I know about the Big Island
is that 2 of the Hospitals sustained structural damage, and they are evacuating the buildings.

I've heard also that there are multiple mudslides, with some major roads blocked.

Power is starting to come back on there now.
