Edited on Fri Oct-13-06 01:49 PM by mistertrickster
Remember the Francophobe hate-mongering the right-wing wallowed in, when those "sissy snail-eating Frenchies" refused to back the coalition to invade Iraq? French fries became "freedom fries" etc.

Now it appears that the Brits want to cut-and-run too. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/13/world/europe/14generalcnd.html?hp&ex=1160798400&en=445089ca02af54be&ei=5094&partner=homepage

That's it for me, dammit. No more "English muffins." It's FREEDOM muffins, from now on. And "London broils"? I don't think so . . . FREEDOM broils

How about British Thermal Units? Not anymore they aren't: now they're FREEDOM Thermal Units.

English bulldogs? Nope, FREEDOM bulldogs.

I refuse to speak any longer the English language. From now on, I will only speak the FREEDOM language.

I hope this sends a message to our effete English cousins . . .

1. Just a slight correction there
Us Brits never wanted to go in in the first place, the only one who did was our excuse of a Prime Minister, who has from day one been ideologically wedded to the same corporate interests that bankroll the BFEE

3. Right, and polls showed Americans were only in favor if the UN
sanctioned it, which they never did . . .

BTW, I always wondered why the British didn't just get rid of Blair. It's a lot easier to vote out a PM than it is a president.
