GORE: Not Planning (Not Ruling Out) Presidential Bid-Says Process Is Toxic
"I'm not planning on being a candidate again for president again. I find the entire (campaigning) process more toxic than it was when I got into it 30 years ago," said Gore.

Gore lost to George W. Bush by a wafer-thin margin in the November 2000 elections. He gained the majority in the popular vote but lost in the electoral college, a system which apportions votes according to the size of the state's population.

......................

"While I haven't completely ruled out the prospect at some point in the future, I don't really expect to ever be a candidate again," said Gore.

"I genuinely believe that the best use of my talents, whatever they are, may well be to try to change attitudes (on global warming) at the grassroots level so that the political environment is different, so that whoever is the candidate encounters a completely new political reality."

1. The election process is being held hostage by bullies who cheat.
They are keeping good leaders and good people from running for office.

That has to change.

3. Cooley Is Exactly Right...
Why the hell does Gore feel he needs this? I understand him. He finally is well respected, and is doing something he enjoys. I know the country probably needs him desperately, but it's his life, and if he doesn't feel like getting attacked AGAIN....having the election FIXED AGAIN....or having his agenda torn apart AGAIN, then why should he bother getting involved in politics in '08?

6. What Al is doing now is more important than being the U.S. president.
Think about it. If he is right about global warming, and I think he is, then being president of the U.S.A. won't mean much anymore. Except the president may have a better chance of surviving the disaster.

11. He Should Be Our UN Global Environmental Ambassador
He already is mine. And I agree with you. Saving this planet for us and future generations goes beyond any Presidency. But you need vision to see that.

Patriots for Al Gore, a Federal PAC advocating for our environment, civil liberties and positive social change, requests that the United Nations establish the post of UN Global Environmental Ambassador, and to consider our recommendation that the Honorable Al Gore Jr. be the first to serve in this post.

Auburn, IL (PRWEB) October 6, 2006 -- Patriots for Al Gore, a Federal PAC advocating for our environment, civil liberties and positive social change, announces it’s effort to request that the United Nations establish the post of UN Global Environmental Ambassador, and to consider our recommendation that the Honorable Al Gore Jr. be the first to serve in this post.

Patriots for Al Gore sees the urgency of the climate crisis, the repercussions of which are being felt in many parts of the world, predominantly Asia, Africa, Australia and the Arctic. We request the creation of a UN Global Environmental Ambassador post that would provide the leadership qualities and experience necessary to bring leaders together on a global scale regarding this issue.

The right person in this post could inspire a global grassroots movement to bring about the visionary changes that will be necessary in the moral, spiritual, scientific, technological, political and economic spheres to effect the expedient changes that are necessary on a global scale in order to avoid reaching the tipping point that scientists have warned us about. We believe the best candidate for this position is the Honorable Al Gore Jr. whose knowledge, experience, conviction and inspiration regarding this issue are well established.

Our effort will be ongoing and will consist of letter campaigns, petitions and other outreach efforts with the United Nations over the course of the next year. All interested in supporting this effort can fax and or write to the following:

To fax the office of Public Inquiry at the UN:
(212) 963-4475.

Or write to:

7. GORE/CLARK 2008. . .
. . .the best qualified, most likable public servants handed to the Democrats on a silver platter. . .

if this party can't see the certain victory of this ticket,

the party is led by insufferable fools!

Which means we're on our own. Period.

Oh, they'll run all right providing the Democratic party backs Kucinich bill for paper ballots and backs these two men financially 100% . . .ya know, no dispersion of $ because of too many primary candidates. . .pick the "horses" early and back them 100%.

GORE /CLARK 2008

8. I'd say everything about politics is toxic.
"Gore lost to George W. Bush by a wafer-thin margin in the November 2000 elections. "

Uh, no, he didn't. Even the GAO posted the results of their investigation... Gore WON.

Wouldn't it be nice if reporters would actually do their homework before typing their "story"?
