Halliburton and BakerBotts Visits to My Sites
http://www.HALwhistleblowers.org
http://www.BushBunglesBrigade.org
http://www.UnsafeAtAnyFee.org (currently on hiatus, to get ready for the next Social Security Privatization push by Bush)

These have been crawling with Halliburton and BakerBotts traffic, especially since I first started filing these materials with the SEC:

http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?company=smith+david+allen&CIK=&filenum=&State=&SIC=&owner=include&action=getcompany

To see the Halliburton and BakerBotts traffic for yourself, visit either of the first two sites.

- David A. Smith, Editor of the above sites
(not to be confused with David R. Smith, VP of Tax at Halliburton, my former employer)

58. The dog days of August...
... were not wasted by many key lawmakers on Capitol Hill, nor by certain law enforcement officials, nor by certain "activist" judges.

The whistleblower depositions and exhibits are overwhelmingly damning to this Administration.

70. The decision was made many, many months ago...
... to put in place an iron-clad case, complete with videotaped depositions, irrefutable e-mails and hardcopies of documents, etc.

The only decision left for the scofflaws is whether their last act will be a graceful one - which will go a long way toward restoring confidence in the nation's institutions and system of checks and balances (and which may also earn some mercy when the sentences are meted out) - or a last vile act.

... and so are the other greybeards of Bush 41. Have you seen all the recent TV appearances from Bush 41's inner circle?

Shrubya's inept inner circle - even with the Nixon/Ford chaperones - messed it up.

52. Well, I don't watch TV, except for 4 shows The Daily Show/Colbert
Bill Maher, and ...football, so no, I haven't. I gave up on TV probably not long after I found DU. And I have to admit that I'm not well versed on the BFEE - I'm relatively new to caring about politics, it was GW who shook me from my ignorant bliss.

I do read a LOT, I know about Halliburton and Cheney, Baker, not so much. My reading has been mostly about this administration and the war. I'm familiar with Baker and Scowcroft, I think it is, who don't agree with young king george on some things.

I think I remember Baker was a part of election theft 2000, but, I have to admit there's a lot I don't know about 41's inner circle - I read a bit in "Rise of the Vulcans", but that was a long time ago. I will check out your site(s) a little more thoroughly tomorrow, though, so I'll have a better idea of what you're doing. Today I just looked at your "visitors".

I do know enough to know that anyone who takes on Halliburton is taking on Cheney, and that's enough for me to know that you are one courageous guy. In your other response to me you said something about Baker's conscience. If he has a conscience, he's not in the same league as Cheney, I'll say that much.

56. Keeper of the Queen's Conscience
Did you know that in the UK, there is a very high-ranking official (technically outranking the Prime Minister), who is known as the Keeper of the Queen's Conscience?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22keeper+of+the+queen%27s+conscience%22

Of course, there were all kinds of sinecures once upon a time: "Clipper of the King's Hangnails," "Brusher of the King's Wig," etc.

But I confess that I now suspect that whoever in the Executive Office of the President was appointed Keeper of the Moron's Brain has misplaced that, right along with his Conscience.

71. Well, Keeper of the Moron's Brain is Karl Rove, is it not?
and he must be very, very busy these days since they don't seem to be effective at anything they try to do - perhaps he's run out of tricks? Or is just plain overwhelmed, or maybe in a little bit of trouble himself, the last idea being my hope. In fact, change my hope to a LOT of trouble.

I must confess that I did not know that they had that particular position in the UK, but perhaps we could create one here - for the entire administration.

Now, I must ask, since I was having a conversation with David before, are you two a tag team? Kind of like Batman and Robin or something like that? I have seen some of your posts before, but I'm not really sure of the connection.

You BOTH crack me up, I must say, and welcome to DU!

75. Hell no, I'd be surprised if he could actually read
"My Pet Goat" for God's sake. THAT was one of the worst ideas Rove had yet, I think.

I believe I've responded to several of David's posts, but aside from that I know nothing about him except what he's made public, and what we at Halliburton are finding out from visiting his websites. No, I made that last part up. Nice way of deflecting the tag team question though. If you don't want to be Batman and Robin, that's FINE, it was just an idea.

He looks to be about my daughter's age, probably a few years older. She'll be 26 on the 15th - I gave birth when I was 3, so I'm just a little older.

90. That would be...
... my parents' and grandparents' fault, aided and abetted by the educators (including the administrators and support staff) of the Raleigh County school system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raleigh_County.

My mom is 16th of 16. My dad is 3rd of 8. The extended family is in WV, KY, OH, SW VA, and all over from there (well-positioned for helping to vote out some especially crooked incumbents this year).

My dad and both grandfathers were disabled in the coal mines. My parents were determined to stop the cycle of poverty in our family, and they did. After making sure that all three of us had the opportunity to go to college, Mom has gone back herself, and lacks only a little bit of classwork to reach her degree in - what else? - education.

We're proud of her, so long as she avoids the toga parties.

109. Well, no I didn't but it's because I'm an unemployed bum
so I'd guess I don't have one. Actually I do work from home - stuffing envelopes and making millions in my spare time.

Seriously, I work for myself, and do some work for my younger brother and his band, but don't file any forms - I used to file a state tax form, but business is not as lucrative as it once was with ebay, so I don't even do that anymore.

What I need is a new source where I can buy brand new hardcover, newly released books in quantity for a buck apiece. You seem to know a lot of people, could you maybe check into that for me? Perhaps Mr. Baker would send you a BUNCH of copies of his book, signed, and we could share?

I'm sure a few of his cellmates will be writing books as well. I know there's some silly law that says people can't profit from their crimes, but your buddies will probably find a way around that one.

Chuckling is ok, giggling isn't manly though - you don't giggle, do you?

"Chuckling is ok, giggling isn't manly though - you don't giggle, do you?"

LOL.

You just talked yourself right out of a photo shoot!

*snicker*

(Oh, wait, no. I meant: *deep, hearty, guffaw*)

As for Baker: nobody really cares about his airbrushed view of revisionist history. Look for his book in the remainder bin in about 3 months.

Finally, since you mentioned eBay, I figured I'd take a stab and see if their Form 5500 has an infestation by you know who; it doesn't appear to.

What kind of music does your brother's band play?

Manly stuff?

really, I'm really, really sorry. I was wrong. (I want the tights picture, in other words).

I'm sure it's manly stuff, whatever that is - they beat on their chests while playing, and stuff like that. His voice isn't all that deep though, so maybe it's not all that manly, but I'm quite sure he doesn't giggle.

125. "They" are noticing all right...
... "they" even had David arrested: http://www.shareholdersonline.org/pdf/HaveYouSeenThisMan.pdf

David is due in court tomorrow, in Boston, on this "criminal trespass" charge.

Andy Card's high school pal, the current Chairman and CEO of State Street, had David arrested and his partner ejected from the State Street annual meeting, for asking questions: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/93751/000126891106000009/revisedpressrelease.htm

As recounted here, Ron Logue (Andy Card's pal at State Street) apparently didn't like David and Patrick pointing out that one of the four members of the Executive Compensation Committee at State Street is in business with Logue's brother, and has been for quite some time (a little bit of one hand washes the other?): http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/93751/000126891106000006/pressreleasefiledpdf.pdf

Indeed, State Street's business practices have even caused its former Chief Investment Officer, and former co-head of its asset management division, to sue (not to mention the Polaroid retirees' and other pending ERISA suits against State Street, alleging mishandling of their pensions): http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/93751/000126891106000010/legalproceedingspressrelease.htm

This is the company that has taken the lead in advocating Social Security privatization, an issue that - just last month - Shrubby said he intends to raise again after the mid-terms.

Andy Card's high school friend gave a sneak preview of what will happen to those who ask questions.

HALwhistleblowers, who put their love of country ahead of their love of money.

Every major Halliburton contract (e.g., LOGCAP III, RIO II, DTRA CTRIC, etc.) has yielded willing whistleblowers, who have come forward to give sworn testimony.

Even without subpoena powers, the minority staff on Capitol Hill has been hard at work, quietly building the case.

53. Maybe you're being too kind
Maybe it's not a guilty conscience at all. Maybe it's just GREED. He has a book to sell. I've seen right wingers that I couldn't believe would actually go on the show, go on, and they normally don't have an easy time with Jon.

Apparently he sells books for them, so they do it. It's a little uncomfortable for some, but normally only 4 or 5 minutes at the end of the show, so they suffer through it. Baker got a little extra time, which they sometimes do for more "important" people.

I think greed might be a better answer, although I'd prefer it to be a guilty conscience!

92. I still can't get over the fact...
... that George P. Bush - their great hope for a three-peat - actually has Prescott right there in his name, as the eternal reminder of how the Bush Family Syndicate funded those trust funds:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_P._Bush

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prescott_Bush

That's just like Neil Mallon Bush, whose middle name is an homage to Bush 41's fondness for his father's old business partner at Dresser:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Bush

57. So do we ...
... to "keep" the Constitution intact, that is. Bushes and Bakers are not fit to tinker with that which they do not understand, let alone cherish.

As for the warnings about safety, they're moot. The hard work is done. The depositions have been videotaped. The documents are above reproach, and there are no "chain of custody" problems. (Can you believe that they have actually suggested that the IMs and e-mails from Foley may not be authentic, suggesting a "chain of custody" problem that would have permitted the messages to be altered?)

BakerBotts is clutching at straws, and when you see this many "luminaries" from Bush 41 trying to put out the fire, you know that they know that this is going to be - in the Queen's words after the Windsor Castle conflagration - an "annus horribilis" for the BushCo. Cabal.

93. Congressman Waxman's Office...
... has been looking into many of these issues. Anyone with firsthand knowledge should get in touch.

116. The sites are interesting, but I'm having trouble following the sequence
of events here. Is there a summary for the attention-starved like myself? Are the actual emails online anywhere? Thanks & keep fighting the good fight.

117. My guess would be...
... yes, since some of the more well-established and reputable MSM outlets have been digesting the copious data for many months now, to render the basic story digestible; then, once it's out there, "advanced" stories can run as follow-ups, and the primary documents are out there for those who have the time and inclination to dig even deeper.

It's taken them a while, but the MSM journalists are beginning to embrace the concept of 21st century journalism.

118. That Is a Common Lament...
"Is there a summary for the attention-starved like myself?"

Yes, an FAQ is nearly done.

"Are the actual emails online anywhere?"

Besides in the hands of the FBI agents who showed up in Houston, TX and Arlington, VA on Friday, July 23, 2004, to demand the backup tapes of my e-mails and David R. Smith's e-mails?

Besides in the hands of the DOJ career prosectors who sent the FBI agents on that mission?

Besides in the hands of Halliburton's white collar crime defense attorneys?

"Thanks & keep fighting the good fight."

Doing my best. Thanks!

119. More "Telling" Visits to My Sites This Week...
... and the updated list of that traffic will be posted soon.

Perhaps more importantly, I expect that the HALwhistleblowers site will, as soon as Monday, have important new information posted about who knew what when at Halliburton, with respect to foreign bribes paid to officials in Nigeria and elsewhere.

Cheers!
