Okay here is the problem with Republicans.
They can never admit to being wrong about anything. If caught doing something, ehm, the Dems might get caught doing they just blame the usual suspects and move on like life is THE silver lining. Just gazing off into space and not focusing on the ground they stand upon. Kinda like Reagan when he testified in the Iran/Contra scandal. Whoopsee do, sorry let us just forget about it huh?

If they would just take a weeeeeee bit of responsibility, start with this horror installed into office - Dick Cheney. But what do they do? Blame gays and minorities and if that doesn't work, blame the other whites as leftest liberal hippie or whatever can marginalize the issue on their controlled media.

That is basically it.

1. Yeah, the GOP are cute folk, aren't they?
Foley is the fault of the democrats.
Those democrats, shamelessly, refused to watch the behavior of the GOP. It's all their fault. GOP off.

2. On the Other Hand, They Play Tough
And they play to win. We Dem's are too busy being objective, considering all options, seeing both sides of the issue

My wife left me speechless today when she said it this way: "It used to be the Democrats were the streetfighters, and the Republicans the weenies. Now it's the Republicans that are the streetfighters, and the Democrats that are the weenies."

'Tis true, tis pity.

4. Lemmings and parasites
GOP diehards are either Lemmings or parasites.

The Lemming is that sheep who follows the Rush Limbaugh show everyday even though he doesn't have a medical plan at work.

The parasite is your landlord or boss who will exploit you at every turn and still talk about what a great provider of jobs he is.

5. They cheat the system now that it is possible.
I see a lot of people posting here about not winning next month and I wonder just if they understand the perspective of what Dems are up against. Liberals or any left group faces a huge army of Repukes and even their own GOP is fractured into three parts now.

It is funny, including all the Foxnews masking of outrageous behavior from the GOPers. They just can't keep a lid on their beloved party. Now they have the conservatives who shy away from the RW fascist group - to late you moo cows, you let them sign into law all kinds of shit to be used against you. Played like a chump group. Double plus good chewy chew. Won't even get into the Fundie group...scary folks.

They've divided so well now that the BFEE has divided the GOP into people who are actually scared of their powers or the wacknuts who are just waiting for the Rapture Bus!

We will beat these bozos.

8. the effectiveness of bald faced lying...
not only by the gopigs, but by the gopigmedia, going back to nixon era....it has, in effect, cancelled any morality in the 'playing' of the 'game' - what was once done to the poor 3rd world is now being done to us, and just like the 3rd world had its elite ally itself with the imperialist/exploiters, we have our 'elite' do the same thing.....what's insane is that the bush support base can't see it, not even with their eyes open....

12. Being objective, considering all options, seeing both sides is
what it's all about.

Drop that, and there's nothing to win.

17. "Fair & balanced" in reality, not as in a rightwingnut slogan.
If we play the bullshit tricks bush did (his being against "nation-building"; against "imperialism"; for Kyoto; all issues he ran on, ALL of which he did the exact opposite of) saying one thing & then doing the opposite, then what's the difference between us and bushCabal?

No thanks.

If we can't win on being open-minded and objective and thoughtful of both sides of issues, then there is nothing to be won.

3. I disagree. That's not the basic problem with Republicans.
Edited on Sun Oct-08-06 12:13 AM by Jackpine Radical
The basic problem with Republicans is that they're greedy, psychopathic money grubbing pedophiliacs who routinely lie, steal, cheat and shamelessly manipulate and intimidate cognitively and emotionally vulnerable people into doing what they want. I could go on, but you get the idea.

7. True they are all those things too.
But THEIR problem is this denial of reality - goes along with the 'can't be wrong' about anything. I think some people would call it insanity.

I bet every 5 minutes, on some station, somewhere they blame Bill Clinton for something. Over and over and over.

9. You're ALL Correct - So What Do We Do NOW?
The Pubs are ALL the things you've all said. They lie, they cheat, they steal, they sweep scandals under the rug, they protect pedophiles. They are vile amoral shits. I will never forgive them for stealing the 2000 election, and who knows how much else. They are mostly selfish pigs.

But the system we live under is what it is. We have to fight fire with fire. They play tough, we have to play tougher.

If we CAN'T or WON'T do what we need to do to win, how can we continue to live in this country? And I ain't leaving. I will continue to try to beat them in the street.

11. There's "republicans". There's "rightwingnuts". And there's
"politicians".

Most "republicans" aren't. If you asked them; do you want children to go to bed on full tummies, be educated, be free from abuse, do you want health care for your kids, your aged parents, yourself etc, the MAJORITY say YES.

Then there's the "rightwingnuts". Ignorance meets inferiority complex. "Morans" forever.

The "politicians" can be "republicans", or they can be "rightwingnuts". But added to either one, they are "politicians".

13. The one b*sh supporter I know has NEVER been wrong...ever
his 4 divorces were the wifes' fault, he lost his pharmaceutical license (for dealing procaine) due to overzealous lawyers and enemies, his 2 bankruptcies were due to bad accountants and insane tax laws...... The list goes on.

I understand why he still supports these parasites...
