Tony Snow: Foley scandal doesn't matter.
Q Tony, is there a risk that the President's terrorism message is going to be drowned out by Foley scandal?

MR. SNOW: I don't know. If you guys write about the Foley scandal morning, noon, and night -- it seems to me the President is talking about things that matter. I mean, here we are, we've got news on North Korea and Iran and other places, and the President is involved in the business of being a head of state, a commander-in-chief, and somebody who runs the executive branch of government and is deeply concerned, again, about national security, the war on terror, the economy -- good news on the economy again today.

1. What, the Tony Freeper doesn't care about Pages?
and their exploitation? I think John Walsh, etc might be a bit disappointed.

3. watch for the meme that Foley is "distracting from more impt matters"
just as the dam is about to burst, with exposure of pedophile ring of monumental proportions (something that's been hinted at for several years now), Foley matter will be relegated to "yesterday's news." You can count on it, and don't forget, I told you so.

8. If the Toni Snowjob had any shreds of decency or credibility left,
it's all gone now.

Now, if we could just get the WH press corpse to knock it off with all the giggling and buddy-buddy bullshit and start asking stern, no-nonsense questions of the lying bushie mouthpiece, maybe we could get somewhere.

10. Seems to me Snow is admitting the Press can make the hot stories
simply by how much they cover them....and that they - they being the Bush Regime - fully understand how to use the Press

Now, when the Press is covering things that delight the Bush regime...that's a good thing

but when the Press covers things that worry the Bush Regime...oh, then that's just negative

Snow wants it both ways....to use the Press to spread lies and to blame the Press when it exposes the hypocrisy...it's OK when the Press is covering local stories they've turned into national news by constant coverage. The Bush Regime welcomes those stories becoming a distraction to hide Bush's criminal actions behind...

But it's not OK when a story that could harm Bush gets mass media coverage....suddenly those stories are just a media manufactured distraction away from all the "good" (cough cough) Bush is doing

So if Bush can't get his message out - it's the fault of the Press...and not because Bush is a lying piece of shit that fears a scandal touching him...so he wants the media to cease covering the scandal

Course, the Press could always opt out of being a tool and do the job a free Press is meant to do

News doesn't have to please or delight or stroke anyone's ego...it only has to be the facts

11. Let's take a walk down "memory lane," Tony....
Edited on Sat Oct-07-06 05:40 AM by caledesi
Does the name Monica Lewinsky mean anything to you? You were one of the main "cast of characters" that kept the Clinton/Lewinsky alive in 1998 FOR ONE YEAR!

What do we tell the children?

Remember "no war for Monica?"

Remember "wag the dog?"

Remember showing a Pres. Clinton and Monica's and reporting 24/7 on them?

"The President's message on terrorism".............puhleeze.....you mean he won't have time to try to SCARE people 24/7?

Yeah, blame it on the Dems, Tony, like Hastert. Now that we know this cover-up goes back 11 years, it is going to be a "hard sell." We sat on this and didn't spring it in 2000, 2002 and 2004? Yeah, right.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, Tony, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

Wait 'til the pics come out!!! You'll have a lot of 'splainin' to do.

edit: usual stuff

13. But we had years of screaming about a blow job with Clinton. One
person. Not every female in the White House. The repubs couldn't get enough. And this doesn't matter? Sure.

14. "Nothing to see here, move along, now."
"I mean, here we are, we've got news on North Korea and Iran and other places, and the President is involved in the business of being a head of state, a commander-in-chief..."

Any wonder it's hard for us to look, Tony? I sometimes cover my eyes during scary movies.
