...or newslady, in the case of Katie Couric. Old habits are hard to break. However, it goes back to the advent of television, with Murrow, Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley. They have the news and no one else dare to step into their hallowed territory. Even up to the present time, this has more or less been accepted by the American public.

But with the decline of the Big Three and the advent of cable television, the viewing audience has decreased for the Big Three. However, many people still give them more credibility than anyone on cable news, or even, public television. But with the increasing interest in the reports of Keith Olberman on MSNBC, we should ask ourselves, "why shouldn't he compete with those other mouthpieces"? America needs someone with a grasp on reality and the courage to tell the truth. I will admit that Keith can be very blunt, but these times demand it.

1. Amen, here is my letter to MSNBC

Dear Sirs, I salute you for your great newsman, Keith Olbermann, He has gone out on a limb many times lately to speak out against the wave of thoughtless journalism, and sycophants that support our president in his misled, misguided and plain old wrong war. If we know the truth behind 911 Why are we in Iraq? Keith has the brains to see through the fog of Politics and speak the truth which a great many of us have yearned for the past six years dealing with a blame it on someone else President. I just finished watching Keith's special Comment and have to say Thank You Sir from the bottom of my heart! We need someone to call out a liar when he sees one! I stand firmly behind Keith in his comment as he speaks for how I feel in a country I swore an oath to uphold and defend the constitution for twenty years in the Army that has now been reduced to the rubble it was when I entered the service back in 1974 and still going down as they scrape the bottom of the barrel for recruits to fight this illegal and unjust war in Iraq. I also like the way he speaks the truth about the other liars like Condi Rice! I ask that you keep Mr. Olbermann safe and promote his show more as we truly need MEN like him that are not afraid to speak the truth during these times when the powers that be break the law and think they are above the law we must remember this country was founded on many ideas one of them being that we are a nation of laws not men! Thanks for the courage and keep up the good work. Good Night and Good Luck to you Keith.
