er. There are people who can't separate the two however, my wifes homophobic rabid reptilian brother being one. Most of these people make up the hardcore fundie reptile base the dirty thirty, so if they believe one of their own is gay and that gay means child molester lets use it to our advantage.
Two things are going to happen, one is that they'll educate themselves and learn that there is indeed a difference between being gay and being a pedophile. Two, they're going to be so shocked that maybe they'll lose all appetite for politics and the reptiles will lose a big chunk of support.

if people weren't apparently deeply ignorant of what the words 'pedophile' and 'child molester' actually MEAN; a sixteen- or seventeen-year old is not a child; an adult who has a sexual attraction to sixteen- or seventeen-year-olds is not a pedophile (the age of consent in the District of Columbia is sixteen, by the way).
