(HAL) , said Tuesday it has been awarded a contingency contract from the Department of Homeland Security to supports its Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities in the event of an emergency. The maximum total value of the contract is $385 million and consists of a 1-year base period with four 1-year options. KBR held the previous ICE contract from 2000 through 2005. The contract, which is effective immediately, provides for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities to expand existing ICE Detention and Removal Operations Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs, KBR said. The contract may also provide migrant detention support to other government organizations in the event of an immigration emergency, as well as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency, such as a natural disaster, the company said.

being read. I knew because it had been taped. I was often getting several pieces with tape a week for a couple of months (it took me a couple weeks before I even realized it was strange, a friend pointed it out). I was laughed at and called paranoid. There was something strange going on with my phone for a few months also. When I would *69 weird *no one there* calls, sometimes 5-8 a day, I would get "We have no record of the number in our system" or something to that effect and "This number is not in service".

Now that we know about the NSA snooping I feel vindicated and a lot more sane!

I made jokes about refusing to go to camp.

I guess it was not a very funny joke after all.

I am also a bit scared. But they can still kiss my ass.

Sorry, I have no idea what that means, but it's definitely the scariest part. I kind of doubt even Halliburton knows. It seems like the "immigrant emergency" cover story was used even for the application process for this contract. Maybe it's just a boondoggle project to give Halliburton more money preparing for a non-emergency. Maybe it's really a plan for handling refugees after a terrorist attack, maybe it's for dissidents. I think we'd need more information about these "new programs" to start panicking about this, but it is pretty suspicious.

Didn't they just pass a law to build a fence across the Mexican Border? Canadians have it better than us, so why would they come here?
