Everytime someone disses me for being a non-smoker, I invite them to
go to hell. That's all. And I'm right. Smoking kills; it even says so on the package.

1. Good answer. I just tell them I'm a serial murderer...
...so I'm still meeting my quota of killing complete strangers, just like them.

3. But does it lead to dancing?
Cause you know, dancing leads to (sotto voce) sex

and everyone wants sex

I was wondering when the flip side was coming up

I can wonder no more

9. I was an anti-smoking activist in 1987 at Intel Corporation and
When smokers would give rebuttals to my criticism of their smoking in the workplace, they included the following:
"Smoking makes me smarter."
"I get high on tobacco."
"Former smokers are the most obnoxious critics of smoking."

In 1987, I began a daily routine of verbally criticizing smokers in the halls, in the cafeteria, in conference rooms,
and in their offices. The management at Intel began a smear campaign. The man who is now president there told
me we must tolerate smokers. The management told me smoking is a social issue, so there is nothing we can do about it.
I would notice a meeting at Intel where someone was smoking and I would call them scum bags, drug addicts, pigs,
slobs, and fire starters. I told the smokers at Intel to stop lighting fires in the building: after a fire burned a closet there. The human resources manager would never discuss smoking, he would only advance a smear campaign on other
subjects. My manager agreed with my goals of eliminating smoking in the workplace (California), but he did not help
me at all. Other employees joined up with me to present the anti-smoking plan to Paul Otellini (now president of
Intel). Otellini would never agree to ban smoking, he only tried to keep smoking in the workplace. We recommended that
smokers go outside : that was shot down by management. We recommended a smoking room with forced ventilation, and the
facilities manager said that is impossible.

In summary, Intel management wanted smoking in the workplace to continue. It is now illegal here in California.

6. all I can say is, you need a new group of friends and acquaintences
I am an allergic non-smoker, most of my friends smoke, and NOBODY has ever "dissed" me for being a non-smoker. how utterly bizarre.

and, as was asked in a previous thread, WHAT brought this up, and why?

8. You are hanging around the wrong people
I am a smoker and I fully support all laws banning smoking in public places. It's my addiction and I don't plan on it hurting anyone but me.

13. Thats a new one on me
I find it VERY odd, unbelievable actually, that anyone would diss a non smoker for being a non smoker. After all, we smokers are the ones advocating for everyone to make their own choice and GET OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS.

That said, I'll just add that RABID non smokers are just as obnoxious as rabid right wingers.

Just sayin'
