It's a sad commentary on how poorly the world views Bush if this is true
On a TV news show tonight they reported on Chavez and Ahmadinejad going after Bush at the UN. One commentator (I didn't catch his name) made a comment that made me stop in my tracks. He basically said that it's very telling that when Chavez & Ahmadinejad spoke out against Bush at the UN not even one ambassador there stood up for Bush.

Not even ONE? Wow, although I pretty much knew that most of the world does not care for Bush I would have thought at least England's rep. would have said something in defense of Bush but I haven't been able to find any news yet to contradict what this man said. Heck from one news article that I found Chavez even received "enthusiastic applause" from the UN assembly after his "devil" speech.

The ego of Bush and the neo-Cons that takes the attitude that 'we're the biggest baddest bully on the block so we'll darn well do as we please' has got to stop. This is not the way to achieve peace. We are not an island, we are not the boss of the whole world and acting like school yard bullies will only get us more hated and more of us killed. Bush and the pro-war neo-Cons must be removed from power. This November we must become the majority and start working toward showing the world that we are not all like Bush, he does not represent all of us and that most of us truly desire peace.

1. As our economy is a foundation of our national security,
it's interesting as to what gets presented as "Must protect" and what gets presented as "protectionism is wrong".

2. In the interests of accuracy
at least for the Iran case, the US ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, could not stand up for Bush because he WASN'T EVEN THERE. Boycotted the speech; no Americans attended in an official capacity at all.

3. That's what he gets for appointing a wrecking ball as ambassador
In fact, that's what he gets for BEING a wrecking ball, himself.

If we had a free press in this country, there would be marches and letter writing campaigns and all sorts of threats to get that man our of office NOW.

As it is, most Americans are completely in the dark as to how bad these people are.

5. I saw that, too, on ABC. It is sad, and more needs to be made of
this fact. We are alone, and it's all the blivet's doing.

And the man who said it is a frequent guest on This Week on Sunday with George Steph, but I can't remember his name either.

8. Yes, more should be made of it. To me it's much more important then Chavez
calling Bush the devil, to me that is merely a symptom of the disease.

Oh and thank you for filling in which station. We just moved the TV & managed to pull this station in. I was so tickeled to actually get in something other then PBS (not that I don't enjoy PBS) that I hadn't figured out which station it was yet. B-)
