Rummy: if Saddam were still in power,he would be rolling in petrol dollars

http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7004863976

Rumsfeld tells Eileen Byrne from WLS 890 AM in Chicago, "The fact of the matter is - if Saddam Hussein were still in power in Iraq, he would be rolling in petrol dollars. Think of the price of oil today. He would have so much money. And he would be seeing the Iranians interested in a nuclear program, he would be seeing the North Koreans developing a nuclear program, and he'd say well why shouldn't he - and he would. So we're fortunate that he's gone."

"We're fortunate that the Taliban have been thrown out of Afghanistan and that 50 million people have been liberated. The situation in Iraq is difficult and people are - the violent extremists that are trying to hijack that faith have killed an awful lot of Muslims in Iraq and elsewhere around the world."

Rumsfeld adds, "But we now have an 80- or 90-nation coalition that is putting pressure on the terrorists, and that's a good thing."

...

Monica Delta from Univision asked, "one of the political issues is that people are asking for your resignation; what do you think? Are the American people happy with your work?"

Rumsfeld admits, "You know, history will decide all of that. It's politics time in Washington, D.C. It's an election season... I mean, who's ever served as Secretary of Defense during wartime has faced the same kinds of divisions that we see."

2. That makes no sense
Sure Saddam Hussein would have some cash. That's a given. Why would oil be higher priced because of him? Why doesn't someone challenge them on these crazy assertions. It reminds me of when they were spoiling to invade Iran so bad this spring/summer one of the talking points was how much lower oil would be if we took them out WITH A WAR to stop them from threatening to START A WAR.

That's the same lying, evil spiel he gave regarding Chavez.

"I mean, we've got Chavez in Venezuela with a lot of oil money," Rumsfeld added. "He's a person who was elected legally - just as Adolf Hitler was elected legally - and then consolidated power and now is, of course, working closely with Fidel Castro and Mr. Morales and others."

These motherfucking Chickenhawk war criminals are nothing if not greedy...and they'll continue to steal whatever they can until they're brought down.
