I think Bush's approval numbers are going up cause of gas
Most voters are so one dimensional and stupid out there that they only can comprehend the things that are directly in front of their face.

They don't read books, or blogs, or newspapers or even watch news on tv. But they do pump gas every day and notice it dropping.

Thus, they feel happier about themselves and happy people are more likely to approve of the president.

Don't ever underestimate the stupidity of the american people. Most people are extremely self-centered and stupid and could give a rat's ass about anything that doesn't effect their lives.

1. I Agree 100% Herman - MORONS!
It has been proven that between 1/4 and 1/3rd of Americans are complete MORONS! The future of this country will be determined by these IDIOTS, and so we are Frickin' Doomed!

2. bush**s approval numbers are going up because the media is
setting us up for another election boondoggle.

The guy hasn't suddenly done anything right. People aren't that stupid that they don't understand that the price will skyrocket beyond anything we've seen so far right after the Nov. elections.

It's all a ruse, a set-up. You can get any result you want if you try hard enough.

15. Exactly

The have fixed the numbers to go along with the election in November.

They can easily change the gas numbers and they did.

Look out for the day after the election..... I'm filling up right before voting day.

3. That might be true
If it is, then Americans are in for an even ruder awakening than the gentle prodding they've had already. They've been drugged and complacent a very long time. Forty years. Two generations. Perhaps it will take the dire consequences of another two years of Republicons in power to wake the people completely to what's really happening right under their noses.

Perhaps the awakening will come too late.

8. I Think Bush and His Supporters Are Wishful Thinkers
and hope others think his numbers are going up instead of down or staying stagnant, because of a very pivotal election they need to steal in order to prevent Dems from gaining subpoena power. If an election looks close enough, they can then steal it.

11. Well, I was glad to only pay $2.13/gal for gas today but not once
in the whole pumping process did I think to thank Chucklenuts for the lower prices.

I remember that gas was only $1.50 something when he took office (remember Chimpy stumping on the campaign trail about how high gas is and it was Big Dog's fault?). Until it goes under that and the oil companies give back their tax breaks and stop making those obscene profits then, maybe, I'll...hell, no. Bush could shit gold bullion bricks for every person in the world and I will never forget what he has done to this country.

I know the game he and the repugs are playing. The prices will jack back up November 8th and will continue to climb until September 08 just in time for the next big election. I'll take the cheaper (if you can call $2.13 a gallon cheap) but will still rail against this asswipe every chance I get! I don't think I am alone - people aren't as stupid as KKKarl thinks they are.

18. We just went "down" to $2.84 !
Smug about the luxurious lifestyle I lead...
because a full tank of gas is now a luxury on a fixed income.

19. Central Kentucky - regular $2.28 but I get a 15¢ discount for
allowing Kroger to track every damn thing I purchase. Wouldn't want to confuse Big Brother over the fact that I prefer the original Cheerios over than the store brand.

10. They may not necessarily be going up.
But if people are told that they are, they might feel more positive. Then they talk up la shrubola, thinking that they missed something important to cause the numbers to go up.

In other words- if you put crap on a stick, the people would buy it.

12. I think they're going up because the pollsters make it look that way
before every election ever since corporate fascism got really rolling. It has to be close to 50% or they can't steal the votes as easily.
