Chris Mathews says Bush could be back to 50% by election day...
and he would not have to worry about losing the House?? Bush is not on the ballot and last I checked the Congress was polling lower than Bush? Is it a given that the Congress' polls will go up if Bush's poll go up? I don't see that one necessarily follows the other? Am I missing something?

The numbers can say anything, just like the vapor ballots.

"... Bush looked good in that flight suit. Damn good. Very masculine, if you know what I mean. I mean, is there a Democratic candidate who would look that manly? I think that may be a rhetorical question."

but the hard work is in rigging the system, paying the media,
and creating a plausible story that explains the outcome.

In Ohio 04 it was that the repugs were:
* better organized
* energized their base more
* and "they" won it in the exurbs

bush was 32% and in some polls he even hit 29% now he is at
43%? please! Has Iraq gone better? Has the Gulf South
been fixed up? Are people happier with being spied on?

FORD TODAY IS BUYING OFF 75,000 WORKERS FROM THEIR JOBS.

Some of the spin & b.s. is not unlike the old communist countries
"stuff" for their "great leader."

18. Unless the GOP is paying off the pollsters, that will NOT happen.
What has improved? Iraq is still a disaster. The Taliban has regained strength in Afganastan. Wages are stagnant. Ford is laying off thousands of employees. The real estate market (which has been propping the economy up is about to take a nosedive. The economy (such as it is) is slowing down.

The so called shift in the polls has to do with the 9/11 anneversary.

"the enemies we have around the world" would welcome Democrats regaining control of the House of Representatives or Senate in November because they could portray it as "Bush hanging by a thread in his own government."

they lie and say it is close...then flip the vote...we have all the electronic voting machines...so they will say...oh...it is 50 50 repubs won by a hair....! when it was NEVER close...wake up people...

remember this just came out...
The owner of DataUSA Inc., a company that conducted political polls for the campaigns of President Bush, Sen. Joe Lieberman and other candidates, pleaded guilty to fraud for making up survey and poll results.

Tracy Costin pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Costin, 46, faces a maximum of five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 when she is sentenced Nov. 30.

(snip)

FBI Special Agent Jeff Rovelli said 50 percent of information compiled by DataUSA and transmitted to Bush's campaign was falsified, the Connecticut Post reported Thursday.

30. It's Chris Matthews - who gives a shit?
If Chris Matthews told me the sun rose in the east, I'd get up early with a compass.

If Chris Matthews told me that January in Winnipeg is cold, I'd head up there with a parka, swim trunks and a thermometer.

If Chris Matthews was standing on the sidewalk with his clothes on fire, I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on him.

Who gives a shit what this overpaid blow-dried clown says, or thinks, or writes, or eats, or exudes?

Who cares?

And the bump from the Sept 11 commemoration events. It will fade.

However, it won't stay at 35% either. It will probably go back and forth between 38 - 42% between now and election day.

37. Don't be fooled, the bullshit polls are being manipulated to convince us
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 09:43 PM by LaPera
that gas prices & everything Bush says and does...is making Bush rise in the polls...It's bullshit! Rove & Co. will keep manipulating certain polls (Fox, etc.) so they can get Bush at 50% by election time...so they can say people decided to trust Bush & the republicans to protect them....after stealing needed election races around the country, with their Diebold electronic voting machines...First though, manipulating the polls is essential...and they are doing it now!

If they can convince you the bullshit polls are correct and a republican candidate is closer than they actually are...then it's easy to rig the voting machines and get away with it...because the polls said it was close, so no questions asked...this bullshit will be happening all over the country on election day...they are just setting themselves up now with the bullshit "polls" to steal what they need...

It so obvious, it's so Rove and you know they were going to do this shit...They are evil & wicked and will cheat & lie and use every illegal way and resource to hold onto the republican majority to keep their fascism alive...They surely aren't going to play fair...or they'd lose...you know all this!
