Where is god in all the boozing at christmas?

LONDON (AFP) - A miraculous image of Jesus Christ in the froth of an almost empty pint of beer is to be used as an advert to encourage more Britons to go to church this Christmas, it has been announced.

The poster -- which shows a glass with the words "Where will you find him?" -- will spearhead the Churches Advertising Network (CAN) campaign to boost attendance in the run-up to the Christian festive season.

CAN chairman Francis Goodwin said Thursday he hoped the poster and accompanying radio adverts would spark a debate about religion. A discussion page on the online site www.myspace.com will run in parallel.

"The message is subtle but simple -- where is God in all the boozing at Christmas?" said Goodwin, whose group is made up of Christians of all denominations working the British media and advertising.

The same damn place the "This is your brain on drugs" ("Hey, duuuude, let's go to IHOP") commercials and the Don't do drugs/got any drugs? efforts ended up.

People will see the ad, and pop down to the local for a pint.

Who's sponsoring these ads? Guiness??

Or, do you mean the proverbial and metaphorical "a pint" of legend?

5. Well, if you can find Jesus on a grilled cheese sandwich, I don't
know why it such a stretch to see God in the ice of a glass of Christmas cheer.

8. That's great and all
But that's obviously Frank Zappa, not Jesus.
