5 years after 9/11why are we STILL being threatened by OBL?
Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 02:08 PM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
Why aren't Americans holding W's and Cheney's feet to the fire? We have expended lives and our financial security for the so-called War on Terror. As has been asked by many before me, how come the US can't find a 7 ft. tall, kidney-failing, cave dwelling, donkey-riding terrorist? Also, thanks Mr. Bush for once saying you weren't "concerned" about him. Will you be concerned if more American lives are lost? Would that get your attention? Would it cause you to miss a barbecue at the ranch?

PS - By the way, how is that anthrax investigation coming along?

1. In the ONE area where their polls aren't in the toilet...
And they STILL can't get it right.

How pathetic is THAT?

14. I can't believe I'm going to defend the Bush administration here
Sort of. Okay, not really.

They've gotten this one exactly right. You can't scare the populace without your boogie man. They created him and they have no intention of taking him out unless he becomes a liability. So far, he's been no liability but rather, an asset. They've kept their asset alive and well (and probably killed a peasant for new kidneys for him).

Walter Cronkite Suspects Karl Rove is Behind Bin Laden Tape
http://talkleft.com/new_archives/008522.html

It's pretty obvious by now, whenever Bush's poll numbers are tanking and they're desperate, up will pop OBL to scare us back into line.

""KING: Now, bin Laden, of course, could help Bush in that it reminds people of a terror issue in which he runs strong. It also could hurt Bush in that reminds people he's still alive. So this could be a double edged sword, right?""

2. I think most Americans do want an answer to you question. It's the MSM
who's helping cover the collective asses of the bush** administration on this one. From my point of view, I think they are helping him by continuing to play these 'tapes' and 'videos' that pop up at the MOST CONVENIENT TIMES.

Ossie never surfaces on a slow news day. Only when the indictments or the Abramoff/bush** ties are starting to make their way to the surface.

18. I remember when ABC Nightline ran a counter for how many days since
the hostages were taken in Iran, in 1980. That really hurt Carter. Why don't these bastards run a counter for how many days since 9/11 that UBL hasn't been captured? UBL has been at large for 1,569 days since the September 11 attacks.

Why isn't every Dem on every talking-head show, every Congressional leader, pounding away at this and screaming the question at every turn?

FIVE YEARS LATER & we're still quivering in our boots about this outlaw? HOW CAN ANYBODY IN THE BFEE JUSTIFY THIS????

The fact that this turbaned madman is apparently still up there in the Hindukush and can still threaten us with impunity is the most damning indictment of this whole unspeakable regime.

5. Let Bin Laden Stay Free, Says C.I.A. Man
Sunday 09 January 2005

The world may be better off if Osama Bin Laden remains at large, according to the Central Intelligence Agency's recently departed executive director.

If the world's most wanted terrorist is captured or killed, a power struggle among his Al-Qaeda subordinates may trigger a wave of terror attacks, said AB "Buzzy" Krongard, who stepped down six weeks ago as the CIA's third most senior executive.

"You can make the argument that we're better off with him (at large)," Krongard said. "Because if something happens to Bin Laden, you might find a lot of people vying for his position and demonstrating how macho they are by unleashing a stream of terror."

weapons sales, which the CIA and US DOD/Military industrial congressional complex rakes in money by the carload lot ! Weapons sales to all sides in any conflict...the M/I Complex's dream.

the global war on terror would have ended...no more boogeyman,no more war and saddam wasn't on the public table in dec.01'...that would have killed PNAC's ambitions.

12. BUSH:On Bin Laden,"It's not that important. It's not our priority
"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

Republicans will say and do anything to impose their will on others.

19. Why would the Republicans
want to find Bin Laden? He's probably on the C.I.A. payroll, and very useful he's been for the Bushistas. Any time they get their asses in a crack, they just break out ol' Benny to make a few threats, distract public attention from scandals, and whip the sheeple back into line. As another poster once remarked, Osama is "the gift that keeps on giving".

23. I've asked myself why the RFIDs are being targetted on ave. Americans
Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 10:00 PM by EVDebs
and not guys like OBL, whose kidney dialysis equipment needs is a real RFID target, not the underwear that I bought from Wal-Mart, which seems to have gotten priority in today's screwed up world:

Total Surveillance
http://www.motherjones.com/interview/2005/12/albrecht.h ...

Couple this insidious technology with purposely erroneous background checks

Who is checking the background checkers?
http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/1128/p13s02-wmgn.html

They've offshored, outsourced, and privatized TIA to the Bahamas, with Ben H. Bell, IIIrd's Global Information Group Ltd.

Now all they have to do is fire you for being 'of the wrong political party' and put false information in your background data...and voila ! You've just created the most insidious terror project in the US ever.

It wasn't really about OBL but the PNAC plan for a New Pearl Harbor that seems to be the real cover story. Also, the Executive Orders for 'suspending the Constitution' are already signed and ready to go
