To all of you that are not in or have someone in the milatry. Do you know that Clinton had Bin Lauden in his sites and did NOT give any orders to do anything about it. All Presdents make mistakes but why is everyone so down on Bush. To each there own on watching the path to 9-11.

also, people arent ragging about all the things bush DIDNT do prior to 9/11. we are bitching about a fake story, fiction, being told to the american people as factual. as a military family...... you too should have issue with lies being presented as truth.

6. No, I din't know that, and for a good reason: Because it's not true.

Bin Laden was never nice and neatly "in his sites" (sic). If you think differently, then explain exactly when that was. And stick around for the holes that get poked in your example.

People are "down on" Bush for a number of reasons, but the most pertinent here are:
1) Whateve you think Clinton's efforts on counterterrorism (or their inadequecy), the facts of the Bush administration's entire term prior to 9/11 (the speeches they made, the budgets they drew up, the policy directives they issued) was to REDUCE those efforts: reduce their priority, reduce their funding, reduce presonnel and material assets devoted to them. Whatever our chances of stopping the plot were under Clinton, they were WORSE under Bush.

2) On 9/11, we were attacked, and the entire world was behind us. But instead of seriously counterattacking the people who attacked us, they made only the most perfunctory effort at that, and instead milked the attack on us to advance a "wish list" of agenda items they wouldn't have been able get otherwise, including their plans to invade Iraq.

8. How's come Bush hasn't caught Osama bin Laden? He's had

enough time don't ya think? 9-11 happened on Bush's watch, that's why I'm down on him!! Quit blaming President Clinton for something that happened 9 months into Bush's term.
