Are all you Lost fans gonna stop watching because of 9/11...
I mean I won't watch anything on ABC, just not gonna do it....

Are you all ready to give up Lost, Desperate Housewife's, Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, The World According to Jim (LOL)...

How about it...

1. Won't be a problem for me. I haven't watched network TV in years.
I'd love to totally give up TV, and I would, if it weren't for Daily Show and Colbert Report.

23. Here's an FAQ
Edited on Fri Sep-08-06 07:13 PM by KyndCulture
http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/

I recommend http://www.utorrent.com as the program you download for the file transfers...

and I recommend torrentz.com as your search engine to find the files.

There are some small video utils you need have too to watch the shows on your computer....
if you are on a PC that is... http://www.xvid.com primarily is the one you need.

48. I did the same thing for the first two seasons
earlier this summer. I'll be watching the third season either over the air or d/l the torrents guilt free. Fuck them. It doesn't matter anyways, because I almost always either mute ads or change the channel during them anyways.

10. If we must give up t.v. for a greater good, I think we can handle it.
Instead of watching the boob tube... why don't you read, spend time with your children, hell spend time with your sig. other (wonder why divorce is so high? spending most of the day away and most of the night in front of the t.v. you drift), go outside (really its quite beautiful to catch a sunset or watch the stars come out.

I think I can handle not watching t.v. We'd all be better off if we just switched it off and spent more time with ourselves, our loved ones, and our community.

28. No
Sorry. Just being honest. My wife and I both are addicted to Lost, and she watches Grey's Anatomy.

Why not even try? Honestly, I doubt ABC would even notice the impact. People like us are obviously not their ad targets anyway because we don't drive large Ford Trucks and consume consume consume. They want 18-25 year olds who spend their parents money with wild abandon and suburban yuppies who buy new 4 mpg cars every 3 years.

It's all rationalization though. The basic gyst of it is that I like the show, and I don't feel like depriving myself of one of the few things in my life that let me just sit and relax and not think for a bit that I can enjoy.

30. Yes.
I was subscribed to ABCPrimetime. Everyone should subscribe to it. It's a wonderful opportunity to cancel the subscription and tell them exactly what you think of them.

But don't forget it is Disney who is paying for this desecration of the honor and heroicism of those who died on 9/11 and the thousands and thousands of Americans who gave and supported to all of us in the name of love of country. Not one of them EVER said I'm doing this to help Republicans falsify history and help elect any political candidate. Unfortunately, the decent Republicans in this country - whose political viewpoints I often disagree with in a civil manner - have been so defiled by their leaders and what is being done in their name by the RNC and their drug addicted pimps like Limbaugh that it has made it very hard to even talk with them. This thing that Disney/ABC and the Republican extremists are doing is so destructive to this country, I can only see them as collaborators in our downfall.

I just watched NBC news with Brian Williams. It was refreshing to hear a network news anchor ask in disbelief how almost half of all Americans believe that Saddam had anything to do with al Q'aeda, when everyone (including Bush and Cheney)knew that the last thing that dictator wanted was to have anything to do with Bin Laden and his ilk. Timeh Russert will have the first public interview in three years with Cheney this Sunday. Russert just can't say anything even remotely questioning a Republican. Another national tragedy. I'll have NBC off during that time during my two day media black out. The TV is off. I spend those two days calling Disney/ABC advertizers to explain to them that this is not about a political disagreement. It's a protest and declaration that I will intentionally not buy or endorse any products advertized on anything Disney, including ABC.

49. It doesn't make a real difference
unless their sponsors are hurt (and the only way to do that is to stop consuming a lot of stuff since ABC isn't the sole station of most products) or you stop watching AND you are Neilson household.

Then again, "Lost" is literally the only program I've seen in fifteen years carried by the station that I actually kind of enjoy. I'll continue to watch it, but I'll do what I can to avoid the network's sponsors.
