I am sad too that Ben will not be able to attend as he is in Nevada on training. Peyton is coming with me and that child can spread the sunshine so I'll have some comfort. On Sunday I am going to take Pey to Pacific Beach and teach her to boogie board. Mikki and I learned to surf in that ocean and now she will be past of it. Damn crying again.

I went to my Mom's funeral yesterday. I've been very sad for a while. She died last Thursday afternoon. I'll miss her badly.

I have such a long trip to come from Sicily but I MUST be there for Mikki. Hope you keep your loving memories of your Mom alive in your heart. Yesterday I remembered the time Mikki and I "borrowed" the donkey outside of the bar in Tijuana. I laughed for 10 minutes and cried for 20 more.
